“An App a day keeps boredom away”
For some years I have started all my lessons talking about something in English for a few minutes. The aim is to
quickly engage my students into listening to something funny, amazing, interesting, shocking and the like. First it was
historical events (Today in History), then it was about maps (What a map!) and finally about curiosities around the
world ( It's a small world). But times are changing and now I am afraid I am becoming more of a geek.
Applications or just Apps came a few years ago and they are here to stay. My students are familiar with them
and I know that this will catch their attention for sure as they may already use them or be about to (if they find them
interesting).
The selection down here is completely random and I only tried to include different fields of life (education,
health, leisure, etc.) Some run on Android and/or iOS, some are free and others not, and the standard rating is between
1 and 5 stars.

our eyes!! Apart from that, people's opinions are always very valuable as we tend to trust them more than the
companies' information.
