- 2. We are a UK based company with over 50 years experience in the design and manufacture of pepper and salt mills. Welcome to David Mason Design. All our mills incorporate a copyrighted ‘Spring Tension’ system. This helps in the adjustment of the grinder via the ‘screw knob’ for either pepper or salt depending on what is being used in your mill. Turn screw knob clockwise to tighten the mechanism and produce a fine grind, and anti-clockwise to produce a coarse grind. To re-fill the pepper or salt mill fully unscrew the knob and take off the top. David Mason Design only use the finest grade materials. The design, manufacture and production of millls is tightly controlled to ensure quality throughout the process. Mechanism Packaging Materials Screw knob We offer new solutions, distinctive packaging and innovative designs. Designed in the UK. These mills have an advanced polyacetal mechanism, renowned for being hard wearing and the quality of the grind. These mills have a ceramic mechanism giving an even and consistant grind time after time. 2
