How to check the oil in your car

locate our Owner’s Manual.
It is normally stored in the glove compartment.
If you have any questions during the procedure, refer
to it for details.

Ensure that your car is parked and the engine is off.
Locate and activate the hood release.

Carefully find the safety catch and raise the hood with
your other hand.

While holding up the hood, attach the support rod.
6. Step 4
Locate the oil dipstick.
If you are unsure of the location, refer to the manual.
7. Step 5
Pull out the oil dipstick.
Examine the level and condition.
If the oil on the dipstick is black, you should consider
getting the oil changed.

Compare the car’s oil level to the parameters in the
manual and determine if the level is sufficient.
