child. That covers a broad range. Dr. Suess and To Kill
a Mockingbird both fall in the same category.

5. In groups of 4, discuss the books and films that were
important to you when you were children. How were
the books presented? Were you read to or was your
first introduction to children’s stories through
television or movies. Try and get a list in you group of
all of your favorites from when you were very little to
the time you were a teen. What books/films had an
impact on you? Did any children’s or young adult
fiction have an impact on your life?
