3. Character

 Protagonist - The character the story revolves around.
 Antagonist - A character or force that opposes the
protagonist. Who do you think the antagonist is?

4. Character

 Minor character - Often provides support and
illuminates the protagonist.
 Static character - A character that remains the same.
Mom, Dad, Lilly, Asher

5. Character

 Foil - A foil is a secondary character who contrasts with
a major character
 Asher -- Asher is careless; Jonas is contemplative. Jonas is
mature, and Asher is unsophisticated.
 Dynamic character - A character that changes in some
important way.


 Name at least 3 reasons why the community is the
antagonist. (use examples from the book)
