This document provides information about Mrs. Weaver's 7th grade Ancient History class. It outlines her background and qualifications, describes the hands-on approach to learning in the class, lists the units of study and assessments, and provides policies on homework, absences, and how to contact the teacher. It encourages parents to support their child's education by making homework a priority and checking in about their schoolwork.
10. Teaming The Dream Team works together to foster a positive and supportive learning environment for ALL of our students. We focus on unity, respect and encouragement of others. Teaming enables teachers to keep track of student progress. In addition, it provides an atmosphere where teachers can seek creative strategies to help students work to the best of their ability at Unami Middle School. www.cbsd.org/unami/24kt_gold/
11. Absences Students are responsible to make up any and all work missed from an absence. The time they have to make up their work is in direct proportion to days missed from school. If your student is absent for three or more days, you may request a homework collection via the front office.

16. Believe nothing, O monks, merely because you have been told it . . . or because it is traditional, or because you yourselves have imagined it. Do not believe what your teacher tells you merely out of respect for the teacher. But whatsoever, after due examination and analysis, you find to be conductive to the good, the benefit, the welfare of all beings - that doctrine believe and cling to, and take it as your guide. -Gautama Buddha
