Before the arrival of the dry season, put on red alert Dapard 24
municipalities in the department and asked that addresses
prevention plans to prevent conflagrations.
Before the advent of the dry season, the Administrative
Department of Risk and Disaster Prevention (Dapard) red alert
declared in 24 municipalities of Antioquia by the possibility of
increased forest fires.
The alert includes municipalities in the West, North, East and
Aburrá Valley, where they have attended 56 fires in just one month.
The Dapard dramatically convened the Municipal Councils for Risk
in order to take preventive measures to avoid conflagrations, which
according to the company, are mostly caused by bad practices and
irresponsible acts by individuals.
Municipalities are on red alert: Abejorral, Caramanta, Concordia,
Copacabana, El Carmen de Viboral, El Retiro, Envigado, Fredonia,
Gomez Plata, Guarne, Jericho, La Ceja, La Estrella, La Pintada,
Medellin, Nariño, Rio Negro, Santa Barbara, Santa Rosa de Osos,
Sonsón, Thames Urrao, Valparaiso Venice.
