Finding
• Businesses are warding on the ERP to ways their core businesses as well as
their back-end operations. The ERP software may have its limitations too,
but organizations cannot disagree with their convenience or managerial
dependencies on them
 The profits of ERP implementation are many.
• Right of entry to information, anytime, anywhere
• Work automation
• Work scheduling
• Cost reduction
• Data security
The ERP software can be broadly classified into two
parts
• Core business management software: Manages the core business functions of an
organization (On Field e.g. RAW material details etc)
• Back-end management software: Financial Accounting management software,
HR & Payroll management software, etc.
• The process of Bill Generation which is takes place at the end earlier it took 3
months but after implementation of ERP system the whole bill generation process
takes maximum 4 days
We find the following areas are getting benefit of
ERP system in their industry
• Sales and Marketing
• Master Scheduling
• Material Requirement Planning
• Capacity Requirement Planning
• Bill of Materials
• Purchasing
• Accounts Payable/Receivable
• Logistics
• Asset Management
• Financial Accounting
• Impact of ERP on Operational Function:
There was a modest positive effect of the ERP system on all of the listed items,
with the largest improvement being in the quality of information/data.
ITEM Increased effect in %
Information quality in general 80%
Decision Making 85%
Order Management 70%
Planning 85%
Cash Management 100%
On-Time Delivery 75%
Inventory Management 100%
Productivity 100%
Impact of ERP on the Role of Management
Accountant
• Better information sharing should exist with more timely information and reduced
time being spent on data collection by the management accountants
• Reduced time being spent on data collection by the management accountants
• The time spent on data analysis and the focus on internal reporting was not
significantly related to perceived ERP success. There was a major decrease in both
the time spent on data analysis and internal reporting
• In successful ERP systems, the time spent by management accountants has
significantly decreased.
Analysis
• There exist different types of ERP software for altered industries and an equally
huge number of ERP providers too. But, ERP is a domain that needs constant up-
gradation, depending on changing business perspectives
• ERP software is credited with simplifying the complex tasks of an organization and
increase their output and overall success
• The latest edition of the real estate ERP software allows greater organizational
efficiencies through faster data giving out, regular data transfer and real time data
updation
• The real estate ERP solutions software is capable of with the description of
elasticity, security and competence.
Conclusion
• ERP system which we are preparing it is integrating various functional departments e.g.
(Marketing, finance, I.T., H.R.)
• Bill generation process at our client’s site which takes 3 months to complete it will now easily
minimize with the help of ERP system
• The growing information needs of an enterprise make it imperative to improve or replace old
systems
• Performance measures must be developed and standardized to give organizations a clearer
picture of the benefits derived from Enterprise Resource Planning implementation
• Management accountants and managers found new ways of working with the ERP system,
each performing different tasks than before e.g.
a. Operation managers can access the information themselves from the ERP
system rather than waiting for the accounting reports
b. Management accountants perform more analysis of results than before
• Efficient communication between functional areas and hence enhances productivity
• It minimize the conflicts between the management
• While employing an ERP system maybe expensive, it offers organizations a cost
efficient system in the long run
• ERP systems have both a direct and indirect effect on management
• Inventory List
