1. Fresh Pack Vegetables in Jars and Pouches – Ready to eat product
Purchase of fresh vegetables (gherkins, tomatoes and jalapenos), grading, dry culling, washing, wet
culling, packing in glass jars / pouches, metal detection, media filling (mixture of calculated amount of either
vinegar or acetic acid, water, salt, sugar, calcium chloride, riboflavin, yellow#5 and natural flavours), capping /
sealing with metal lug cap, coding, dud detection, pasteurisation, drying jars, labelling, case packing, case
sealing, palletisation, container loading and transport of finished goods to port.
2. Fresh Pack Vegetables in Drums - Temporarily preserved in strong acid and salt solution.
Requires further processing before consumption
