So much of the developing world today
faces the situation of absolute poverty.
They work from dawn to dusk struggling to
make $2 -3 at the end of the day.

Typically vineyard workers have no say in
how much they are paid even though a
high commodity product like wine should
make enough profit to pay workers well.

“I am the parent of a child at CCM Nanyuki Primary School. I appreciate the help Fair
Trade has given us through donation of desks to be used by our children. The new
classrooms that have been constructed makes the school look clean and our children
now stay in a clean environment and thus they don’t get dirty like before. We give thanks
to you for your generous help because our old classroom building was almost falling
down.” The radiant smile of her son who is a direct beneficiary relates their gratitude
without a doubt.
