Welcome to our presentation we are doing the journey of the treaty of Waitangi we have gathered some information to give you and hope you will use it well.
Our questions
The treaty took a bit more than one week to travel the country and be signed by all the settlers. It got signed by more than 500 people and theses people were in all different places of New Zealand.
Soon after the signing both the Maori and English drafts disappeared to this day they still have not been found.
As you see the treaty has gone through many years of bad treatment it was never looked after or cared about by the government.
That is all we could find about the journey of the treaty now to our next question which tribes refused to sign the treaty.
Which tribes refused to sign the treaty.
We found out that 5 tribes that refused to sign were The 5 tribes that did not sign the treaty of Waitangi were Tahoe, taraia, potatau te wherowhero, arawa and tuwharetoa.
Sophie and I sent a email to tepapa getting a reply from duncan west saying

But the original Treaty of Waitangi pages are just down the road in the Archives New Zealand building. Anyone can vist Archives New Zealand and view the Treaty in a special room. Try this website to find out more about the 9 separate documents that make up the Treaty of Waitangi:
