- I am known for the two-day intensive training on tax return analysis…delivered all over the country for over 25 years. Financial Institutions bring me in to train their teams…and individual lenders attend my open enrollment sessions.In the last few years, especially, I kept hearing from my clients how hard it is to let the entire team go for two days of training…and stop loan production cold. Or have the attendees work with me all day and then try to keep their deals moving after work.Individual lenders had a hard time taking time out as well, and had to add travel costs to come to me.As much as I love live training…and I do…it does not work for everyone.
- But propose online training and another set of challenges arise. A recent loan manager was concerned that people would not keep up, or would just ‘test out’ of the modules and not gain the benefit that attention and immersion in a live training affords.I have to admit, I used to feel the same way..

It uses online modules, live webinars, PDF manuals and an online discussion group to deliver the content and the opportunity to practice what you are leanring and ask questions as you go.Level I just accesses the self-study components. And Level III adds personal feedback from me on case studies and longer access to all modules…plus a refresher option for up to three years. When I put together a virtual training for an in-house client we pick and choose what elements you want.

And I find in the open enrollment session participants are asking each other questions…what are your guiidelines? Do you ever use this type of income?Not only that, but they answer each others questions about tax return analysis. I am in most days and sometimes the questions have already been answered.This particular group, by the end of the 6 weeks, had over 50 discussions and over 144 comments.
