What is Plagiarism?
1. What is Plagiarism?
According to
kidshealth.org,
plagiarism is
stealing a
person’s ideas or
writing.
2. You wouldn’t steal a person’s
bookbag or money, right? Well it
isn’t right to take their thoughts,
words, or ideas either! They
belong to them just like a
bookbag or money does.
3. So what do you do?
• If you want to use someone’s ideas, thoughts,
or words…..
• Just give them CREDIT!
• You can do this by listing the author’s name,
the title, and when it was published.
• Even if you use your own words to tell about
someone else’s idea, you need to give them
credit.
4. If you are not sure whether
you are plagiarizing or not,
ask your teacher or media
specialist for help!
