2. I chose to incorporate this question within my survey to capture an insight into what my target audiences’
preferred fashion taste is, this would then allow me to dress my feature model accordingly and include
features within my magazine that would be relatable to my audience. The most popular answer from my
sample was that the preferred style was Chris Brown and Rihanna. This means that when thinking about the
costumes for my feature model I will research into and capture outfits that are similar in style to those - in
order to make my front cover look more appealing to my target audience.
3. This question would enable me to know which artists I should feature on my sell lines on the front page of
my magazine and in the contents pages, thus meaning that I am adhering to what my audience appeals to
meaning that they would be more interested in buying my magazine and buying further additions in the
future. The most popular answer for their top three RnB artists were Chris Brown, Jhene Aiko, Rihanna and
The Weeknd meaning that I will make sure to have contents and sell lines featuring these estabilished artists.
4. My response from my sample on this question was a 100% result in saying that readers tweets
should be incorporated within my magazine, allowing the magazine to be more interactive with
its primary target audience, causing readers to be loyal to the magazine as they feel involved in
the production of the magazine. Because of this result, I will be likely to involve a handful of
tweets on my contents page.
5. This question allows me to understand what specific assets would attract my target audience
towards my magazine, it appears that a competition for concert tickets and clothing vouchers
are the most popular – therefore I will incorporate these within my magazine to make the issue
interactive and appealing.
6. I thought that this would be a good question to ask my audience to see the preference that they
would like to see on a front cover. The least popular was ‘extreme close up’ with a 0% selection
– therefore meaning that I will definitely avoid using this type of image as it is non desirable
according to my target audience. I will be most likely to use a ‘medium close up’ or ‘full body
shot’ as these were the most popular choices.
7. Most respondents answered this question with the answer of having famous artists being
featured as it would provide more entertainment, I have understood this response and will use
an already famous artist in my feature article to ensure that readers get the maximum
enjoyment when reading my magazine.
8. The response to this question has clearly displayed to me how important a front cover is when
consumers are buying a magazine, as the most popular answer was ‘very important’ followed
by ‘important’, this means that I will ensure to make the front cover eye catching and
professional looking to gain a wider audience and to stand out from other magazines. i could do
this by including large fonts, a neat colour scheme and labels.
9. The average response received from this question was that my audience usually by 2
magazines in 3 months, this allows me to understand how often I should release issues of
‘Rhythmik’, these results on top of the conventions of music magazines helped me to
conclude that I will release one issue of ‘Rhythmik’ a month.
