collections and related services.

and best practices that support the effective creation, interchange, re-use, and
persistence of digital librar objects.

PRESERVE(                  ): DLF focuses on practical initiatives and research in
under-served areas of digital preservation, and is committed to long-term access to
the digital intellectual and scholarly record.

USE(                ): DLF encourages initiatives that assess and explain patterns of
digital library usage, to help libraries build better-informed, more useable,
collections and services.

BUILD(                ): DLF defines and and develops prototypes for digital library
architectures, systems, and system components, communicates important
technical trends, and encourages technology transfer and information sharing.
