5. Our Classroom My wish is that our classroom will always be filled with joy and laughter, if you look around the classroom I have tried to make everything very bright and welcoming, I want to provide the best education to your children because it’s what they deserve.

6. Our Daily Schedule 8:00-8:30- Put book bags, coats, etc. away. Prepare for journaling or drawing time. 8:30-9:00- Journaling or Drawing 9:00-9:40- ABC's and 123's 9:40-10:20- Circle Reading 10:20-11:00 –Math 11:00-Noon- Lunch/Recess

7. Daily Schedule Cnt… 12:05-12:25-Quiet time 12:25-1:30- Music 1:30-1:50- Circle Reading 1:50-2:35- Free Time 2:35-3:00- Announcements for next day. Assign homework, allow time to work on homework. Go home.

8. Volunteering I am always looking for help in the classroom or on field trip days, I welcome any of you to be a classroom parent or even to just come have some fun with us on a field trip. Our next field trip will be Dec. 18th. We will be going to the IMAX theater to see the movie “The Polar Express.” I invite any parent to join us! You can contact me anytime to let me know that you are interested or if you have any questions.

9. One thing I enjoy doing is taking the kids outside to read a book. (Weather permitting of course.) I try to do this once a week or every other week during Spring/Fall time. I take the kids outside and select one student to decide which tree they want to sit under. Once the tree has been picked I ask the student to tell the others why they chose that particular tree. Was it the color, size, leaves, location…etc. It’s not only a fun and exciting thing to be learning outside but I feel that it is a change of scenery for the students.

10. Meet George! The student will take turns helping to clean, feed, and brush George. My hope is that this will teach them how to be responsible and care for someone else.
