• Over 6,700 people attended the conference in person—a 65 percent increase from 2012—with over 13,600
tuning in via live stream.

Genealogy for Youth
In addition to the 6,700 adults attending the conference in person, over 1,500 teenagers attended special
sessions and events specifically for youth. There were special youth activities, such as the Genealogy Merit Badge
for Boy Scouts in the Expo Hall and a youth panel class that included adolescents telling stories about their own
genealogy experiences.
RootsTech Online
Over 13,600 people joined the conference via live streaming on RootsTech.org and were able to view many
keynote presentations and select breakout sessions.

Booth and Exhibit Hall Details
The Salt Palace Convention Center is a modern facility located two blocks from the Family History Library in
Salt Lake City, Utah. The Exhibit Hall will be in Halls A,B & C of that facility this year.
Cost of each 10’x 10’booth: $295
Each booth reservation includes:
• 10’x 10’booth
• 8’high back drape

• One 7”x 44”exhibitor ID sign

• One complimentary conference registration

Modern Display will provide the exhibitor services, including electricity and furniture needs. The Salt Palace will

Exhibit Hall Move-in Date:
Wednesday, February 5th, 2014, 8:30 a.m.–10:00 p.m. You are required to be set up by 10:00 p.m. on the 5th.

Each morning of the conference, the keynote sessions have the potential to end before their actually scheduled
time. All exhibitors must be in their respective booth(s) and ready for attendees 30 minutes prior to the printed
schedule.

Cancellations
A refund of 50% will be available for cancellations before January 1st, 2014. No refund will be given after January
1st, 2014.
Conference and Exhibitor Hall Access
Those working in your booth will be provided with exhibitor badges to allow them early access to the exhibitor
hall for set up and break down. Only the person with the conference registration, or those with a paid registra-
tion, will be able to attend lectures. Remember, one free conference registration comes with each paid booth.
Utah Sales Tax
If a sponsor/exhibitor wishes to sell merchandise during the conference, that entity must register with the Utah
State Tax Commission and agree to payment of state sales taxes. A representative from the Utah State Tax Com-
mission will be onsite at the RootsTech Exhibit Hall on Thursday morning before the hall opens to help fill-out the
necessary tax forms.
