Saskia documented her work over several weeks constructing a music video by editing together footage in Final Cut Pro. She ordered clips on the timeline, synced them to the song by changing speeds, and added transitions like cross dissolves. Later sessions involved fine-tuning the syncing of lip movements, slowing parts down, and coloring flashbacks in black and white. The final sessions focused on reordering clips, adding text, and making final changes before completion.

What did we do?
● Looked at all the clips we took and selected which ones to put onto the
editing time line in final cut pro.
● Captured clips and separated out takes from actual usable footage
● Started to order the clips on the time line
● Imported the song onto the time line
● Changing the speeds of clips to fit the song
● Inputting cross dissolve into certain clips
What did I learn?
● Learned how to use chroma key using motion and how to change the
back ground colour of the green screen shots. Unfortunately because we
positioned our artist wrongly we were unable to change the colour.

What did we do?
● Added a long cross dissolve to make a scene in
sync with the music, without adding additional
footage, on the artists final chorus
● We selected and cut down relevant performance
shots for the end chorus performance to fill gaps
and also to slow down individual parts of the lip
syncing. This made the shots more effective and
more entertaining to watch.

What I learn?
● I learnt how to add text to the video and how to
change the colour and style of it.
