AOL – has adjusted its brand to fit what works now In today’s world we are bombarded with so much information that only that that we relate to and is DIFFERENT sticks out to us. Traditional marketing methods don’t work as well anymore.
Grocery story example…box of cereal 20 years ago – not much competition and your chances of being bought and consumed were pretty good. Enter today’s world, that same box of cereal is competing with MANY other brands for the same market share.
There is a saying that people do business with people they know, like and trust.
Definitely go with a “.com” as that is the most highly used, easily recognized domain extension.
