4. PORI IN BRIEF
• Pori is a city, which is located on the west coast of Finland
• The city is located some 15 kilometres from the Gulf of Bothnia, on the
estuary of the Kokemäenjoki river, which is the largest in Finland
• Pori was established in 1558 by John III (Finnish: Juhana III or Juhana-
herttua).
• Pori is the most important town in the Satakunta region.
• Pori has about 85 000 inhabitants

7. RAUMA IN BRIEF
• Rauma is a city, which is located on the west coast of Finland
• Between citys of Pori and Turku
• Rauma was granted town privileges on May 17, 1442
• Rauma is known for its high quality lace and the old wooden architecture of
its centre (Old Rauma), which is a Unesco world heritage site.
• Rauma has its own dialect of Finnish, so called "Rauman giäl".
• Rauma has about 40 000 inhabitants
