2. The adjective is a word that modifies the noun , or tells us
something about the noun.
In English, the adjective usually precedees de noun.
In English, adjectives HAVE NO PLURAL.

3. To compare with adjectives, the number of syllables have to be
considered.
ONE OR TWO SYLLABLES
If the adjective has one or two syllables, we add the suffix –er at
the end of the adjective, and the word than behind the adjective:
ADJECTIVE -ER THAN
FAST FASTER THAN
SHORT SHORTER THAN
PRETTY PRETTIER THAN
4. If the adjective ends with a ‘y’, when we add –er , this ‘y’ change
into ‘i’:
FUNNY- FUNNIER PRETTY-PRETTIER
If the adjective has ONE SYLLABLE and ends in the combination
CONSONANT VOCAL CONSONANT, the last consonant it is
repeated:
BIG: BIGGER FAT: FATTER
There are irregular adjectives that don’t follow the rules, and
they change its form completely to compare, for example:
BAD: WORSE THAN GOOD: BETTER THAN
5. THREE SYLLABLES OR MORE
If the adjective has three syllables or more the rules change.
We have to add the word MORE before the adjective and the word
THAN after it:
INTELLIGENT MORE INTELLIGENT THAN
ROMANTIC MORE ROMANTIC THAN
ELEGANT MORE ELEGANT THAN
ENTHUSIASTIC MORE ENTHUSIASTIC THAN
6. Simba is younger than Mufasa

8. Jinna has got shorter hair than Penny
