Who knew the beautiful city of Taiji, Japan… could be so…
UGLY?!
Were dolphins really meant for our entertainment?
Or are we being selfish… Keeping them from living the life they were intended to live?
They can remember the way it was…
…before they were spotted by the Taiji fishermen, and were herded toward the Cove…
8% of the dolphins never make it to the Cove, because of stress induced by the loud clanging noises the fishermen make in order to herd them into the cove.
Once in the Cove they are held overnight awaiting the next day, were animal brokers pick through the dolphins.
Where the dolphins will spend the rest of their shortened lives in captivity.
Then, after the “choice” dolphins are sold, the slaughtering happens…
Unwanted dolphins are then sold to the meat market.
After seeing the way dolphins act in the wild, and how they are treated by the fishermen, it should be clear that the hunting and killing of these beautiful creatures is wrong.
Why wait until the dolphins are on the endangered species list before taking action? That’s something even the Japanese should agree on.
