1. Saving to Your Home Directory

2. What you will need…
 Your username
 Your birthday expressed as
 MMDDYY
 For example, July 4, 1999 would be 070499

3. After creating your document in MS Word, Publisher,
etc., go to File – Save As in the top left corner.

4.  Name your work so you will know what it is.

5. You will see choices to save your work. DON’T save
to My Documents! Go Up a Level to see more
choices (yellow folder with an arrow).

6. Find the choice that has your username and (H:).
This is your home directory. Double click on the
one you want.

7. Click
Save

8. How to Find Your Work Later
Double Click
My Computer

9. Double click on your home directory
to open it. Find your work.
