6. LinkedIn is the world’s largest professional social network with over 120
million members in over 200 countries and finally surpassed Myspace in
June 2011 in visitors. The membership grows by approx 2 every second
(wiki).
• Add everybody you meet on LinkedIn
• When you get business cards from networking events, click the green “Add
Connections” link and enter in email addresses to send invitations
• Sync your email and social networks with LinkedIn
• Build your profile
• Add a full summary and short summaries to each position that you have had
professionally.
• Brag a bit and mention sales records or stats from your current company
• Wherever you can, use powerful words like “Award Winning” or “Successful”
• Get testimonials from people you trust who do business with you
