This presentation will highlight Bloom’s Taxonomy and the
integration of technology.
 Bloom’s Taxonomy is a model of six levels of cognitive thinking:
 Creating
 Evaluating
 Analyzing
 Applying
 Understanding
 Remembering

 Students will recall information to understand, process, and apply
the newly learned information into a real- world scenario.

 Creating- iMovie for turning videos to film to share.
 Evaluating- YouTube for lectures, videos, and course
improvements.
 Analyzing- Google Analytics compile, analyze, and report data.
 Applying- Gliffy creates flowcharts, diagrams, and charts, etc.
 Understanding- SlideShare used to post presentations.
 Creating-Flickr can be used to share photos, presentations, and
videos.

INTEGRATION
 Daily, a large amount of information enters into the lives of
learners through the Internet. It comes in the form of yahoo,
Google searches, links on a Facebook, twitter, a video on
YouTube, a text message, email or even a virtual classroom
assignment. In this age of evolving technology learners are in
need of understanding context and analyzing information.

10. TAXONOMY & TECHNOLOGY
INTEGRATION SUMMARY
 Key components of the human learning is creating, evaluating,
analyzing, applying, understanding, and remembering.
 Everyday we use this process when we make decisions, manage
personal obligations, interests, careers, etc.
 This theory can be seen at work in the classroom whether
physical or virtual.
 Development and integration of web 2.0 technologies provides a
real-life example of blooms taxonomy.
 The design and application of the tools follows the taxonomy six
cognitive thinking process to achieve the desired outcome.
