3. How I can help
1. Finding resources and mapping out a plan to help
students find those sources.
2. Teaching a research skill related to your project.
3. Suggesting appropriate technology to help students
CREATE, ORGANIZE, & SHARE Information
5. Find-a-Source Challenge
Use a Research Database (Password 7110) or the Online Catalog.
• We all know that Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier in MLB playing
for the Dodgers. Let’s say you are interested in finding out what Robinson
did in the year prior to his Brooklyn debut. Find a primary source that
helps you learn more about this history.
• Find an article from the Chicago Tribune immediately following Hiroshima
detailing the U of C’s involvement in the development of the Atomic
Bomb.
• Find a book in the library about the Great Migration.
• Click on Student Resources in Context or Global Issues. Find a subject
that your students will study this year. Explore the resources available.
