History
IEC Group, found its genesis way back in the year 1981 when Sh. R.L. Gupta, laid the stone to found
India Education Centre under his aegis with a dream to make India leader in Information Technology
soon it become the frontrunner in imparting IT Education.
In year 1994 with aim of expansion it was corporatized and India Education Centre Ltd. was founded
later named IEC Softwares Ltd. and now IEC Education Ltd. (ISO:9001) .IEC with a asset base of over INR
500 crore is one of the pioneers in India, in the field of Information Technology has been a frontrunner
in imparting IT training and Education at the length and breadth of the Country. IEC Education Limited is

Growth story
1981
•India Education Centre (IEC Group), came into existence as an Association of Persons run and
managed by Gupta Enterprises, a registered private family Trust established by Mr. R. L. Gupta
and Family.
1994
India Education Centre took upon the Corporate character after being incorporated as India
Education Centre Limited, which took over India Education Centre, owned by Gupta Enterprises
and had taken upon the task of Establishing, Maintaining, Supervising Educational, Technical and
Vocational Institutions; for training of Manpower.
1998
India Education Centre Limited , changed its name to IEC Softwares Ltd. & now is called as IEC
EDUCATION LIMITED, to realize its ambitious objective of Dissemination ,promotion of
knowledge in the field of Computer Education.
1999
Vocational Educational Foundation (VEF), has already marked its entry in the Formal Sector of
Education by setting up, IEC College of Engineering and Technology, Greater Noida, which has
made a phenomenal progress and has expanded its field to Pharmacy, Hotel
Management, Management.
2012
Vocational Educational Foundation (VEF) in Financial Partnership with IEC EDUCATION Ltd
established IEC UNIVERSITY in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh.

Mr. R.L. Gupta- 75 years, B.A, L.L.B.
Promoter Director has been a visionary with a social cause. A
lawyer of repute for years has remained very active and
involved in their group’s attempts to impart education and
training through IEC. A practicing advocate and reputed author,
Mr. Gupta authored dozens of books. Many of these books have
been in circulation at various Government Libraries.
Naveen Gupta -42 years, B.A .
Mr. Gupta is CEO and Managing Director of the Company.
At a very early age, Mr. Gupta took up the responsibility of
leading IEC Group. Having associated himself with IEC brand,
he looked into the fields of Advertising, Marketing,
Corporate Planning and Information Technology.
Mr. Gupta has specialized in Personal Relations , Franchise

plagiarism and referring, academic reading skills, group work and effective ways to learn.
Facilities
Our campus offers the perfect setting for you to achieve your full potential. In recent years we have
invested a big amount in our estates and learning resources. This has enabled us to extend our
specialized teaching areas and to provide a purpose-built Student Centre, as well as a dedicated
research centre. Future plans include the development of state-of-the art sports facilities.

Placements
The success of the Placement Cell is evident from our alumni occupying positions at the best
employer companies in the country. The Placement cell constantly keeps in touch with the
Industry to be alert to technology advancement, and plans well in advance for bridging the gap
between industry and academics
Strong Industry-Institute interaction, the motto of IEC, is the most essential element moulding graduates as
industry adaptable products. The institute is associated with many industries like LG Electronics, Moserbaer, IIHT
Ltd, UTL Technologies, Motorola, ST Microelectronics, Schenck Avery etc making the following fruitful :
• Industrial Training Every student undergoes Industrial Training for a duration of 8 weeks. This helps them in
honing what they have learnt in their curriculum as well as getting the feel of what is expected of them at the
Industry level.
• Expert Lectures Topics are identified according to the current scenario and experts from industry and R&D
organizations deliver lecture on these selected topics. Experts from Motorola, ST Microelectronics, Moserbaer,
UTL Technologies, Tico are regularly giving lectures on topics of interest.
• Live Projects Many of our students are given are opportunity at nearby industries to carry out live projects.
• Industrial Visits Industrial visits are organized regularly for all disciplines in their relevant fields respectively

Udyog Ltd, Honda Ciel, Minda HUP, NTPC , IIHT , YAMAHA Ltd are some of the companies the students have

• Pre – Placement The students’ data bank for placement is prepared in the pre final year. The students are
trained to prepare their CV, and practice for job interview through pre-placement training programme.

IEC Group of Institutions takes a strong initiative to use assessments on students of all
Batches of B.Tech, MCA & MBA to continuously assess their skills and identify gaps, test the
domain knowledge and use as an evaluation tool for the internal workforce.
Harvard University, MIT and University of Delhi – Aspiring Minds, signed a Memorandum
of Understanding (MOU) with IEC Group of Institutions, to conduct a nation-wide Computer
Adaptive Test, to provide a statistically-valid multi-dimensional skill assessment to judge the
employment suitability of a large pool of candidates studying at IEC Group of Institutions.
