Geographic coordinates:  Area: 10 00˚ N 8 00˚ E Land: 910,768 sq km Water: 13,000 sq km Total: 923,768 sq km
National symbols The coat of arms of Nigeria has a black shield with two white stripes that come together, like the letter Y. These represent the two main rivers flowing through Nigeria: the Benue River and the Niger River. The black shield represents Nigeria's good earth while the two horses on each side represent dignity. The eagle represents strength, while the green and white bands on the top of the shield represent the rich agricultural land of the inspiring country. The yellow flowers at the base (incorrectly shown as red in the image) are CostusSpectabilis, Nigeria's national flower The Flag of Nigeria was designed in 1959 and first officially hoisted on October 1, 1960. The two unique sea-green bands represent the forests and abundant natural wealth of Nigeria while the white band represents peace.
The Economy The revenue is relied on fossil fuel!!! Not too good uh. Nigeria is the 12th largest producer of petroleum in the world and the 8th largest exporter, and has the 10th largest proven reserves!!!   But why is Nigeria still ranked among poorest country in the world??? 2010 estimates   GDP (PPP)    Total $377.949 billion  Per capita $2,422  GDP (nominal)  Total $216.803 billion   Per capita $1,389  <We are BIGGGGG>
