SUBJECT: Room Rates for 2014 State FFA Convention
The 85th
Annual State FFA Convention will be held June 10-12, 2014 at the Lexington Center in
downtown Lexington, Kentucky. I have secured rooms for convention attendees in the Hyatt
Regency Hotel, the Hilton Lexington Downtown, and the Clarion Hotel. Both the Hyatt and the
Hilton hotels are connected to the Lexington Center and both offer complimentary parking for
private vehicles. The Clarion is conveniently located 3.5 miles from downtown. Bus parking for
all hotels will be in the Manchester Street Parking Lot (formerly known as the Cox Street Lot)
located behind Rupp Arena.
It is important that you send the enclosed reservation form to the appropriate hotel, filled in com-
pletely. Reservations should be made by May 15. After May 15, any rooms not reserved for the
FFA Convention will be sold to the public.
The Officer Nominating Committee will be interviewing officer candidates this year beginning
on Monday, June 9th
at approximately 11:00 a.m. Please make reservations for your nominating
committee members and state officer candidates if they need to arrive early. Also, the State
Talent will be rehearsing on Monday evening, June 9th, and may need rooms for that evening.
Information about all hotels is below for your use. Please be sure to send information to the
appropriate hotel and correspond directly with them in making your reservations. DO NOT
send deposit checks or housing forms to Frankfort.
It is your responsibility to cancel hotel rooms that you will not be using at least 48 hours prior to
your scheduled arrival date. Please call the appropriate hotel directly with any housing questions
or changes.
We strongly encourage chapters not using the Hyatt or Hilton to consider the Clarion Hotel.
This is due to their continued support of Kentucky FFA and the amenities they offer to members.

The Clarion will direct bill your chapter if you

Please indicate on your rooming list if you need a room with a king bed or a room with two
double beds. This will greatly assist the hotel staff in assigning rooms.
