3. MY
INTRODUCTION
Hello! My name is Nuria and I am thirteen years old. I was
born in Vigo. . I was born on the sixth of January in 1999. I
like my town because it is a big town. My father’s name
was Alejandro and my mother’s name is Pilar. My father
was a doctor and my mother is an office worker. I have one
sister (Paula). I also have a kitty, whose name is Maggie.
My eyes are brown and my hair is black. I’m 1.70 meters
tall (one point seven) and my weight is 52 kg.
Jokes make me laugh and bad news make me cry. The last
time I cried was when my sister went to Salamanca.
I think I am a hard-worker and polite girl . I get angry
when people are rude.
The only bad thing about me is that I’m very nervous.
I like listening to pop and classical music.
I get up at 08:00 ( eight o’clock) and I go to bed at 22:45 (
quarter to
eleven).
I come to school on foot it takes me ten minutes.
I think I am a good student. After school I usually watch
TV. I watch TV two hours a day. My favourite TV program
is “Downton Abbey”.
I am interested in music, painting, languages and history. I
am good at playing the piano and I am bad at sports. In my
free time I listen to music, play the piano… My favourite
sport is swimming because it is very complete.
I do my homework at a quarter past four.
4. THE VERY BEGINNING
I was born on the sixth of January in 1999, in the
hospital Xeral in Vigo. I’m the second child in my
family(I only have one sister, Paula). My father, his
name was Alejandro, was a doctor and my mother,
her name is Pilar, is an office worker.
My family and I lived at 8 Pintor Colmeiro Street on
the 7th floor.
Then we went to Almería, my mother, my father, my
sister and I lived at 43 Profesor Mulián Street on
the 2nd floor.
Afterwards we moved to Melilla and we lived at 24
Cataluña Street on the 3rd floor.
Now I live with my mother and my sister. I have a
kitty, whose name is Maggie.
I haven’t got many memories when I was a very
little girl, I only remember when I went to the
beach, I loved the beach and the water but I didn’t
like sands, I also remember when I played with my
sister, I loved playing with her, was the thing I like
most in my life, my favourite game was hide and
seek
6. EXPERIENCES AT
PRIMARY SCHOOL
When I was 6 years old I began Primary School in “Adela Díaz School”
(Almería).
Then, when I was 9 years old I went to “Pintor Eduardo Morillas School”
(Melilla), this school is very good, I had every day one hour of English with
an Australian teacher, her name was Sharon.
Afterwards I began fifth level in “Doctor Fleming School” and I finished
my Primary Studiesthere3.
In Primary School I learned to study, to multiply, to divide…
Positive:
-I had a very good friend, because she was a very honest person, she was
called Marina.
-Most of my teachers were very good, but in the fifth and sixth course of
primary I had a very good English teacher, she was called Luz, I learned
many things with her.
-My favourite subject was easy for me, it was Maths, because I love the
numbers. This year in high school I’ve got a very good Maths teacher who
teaches very well.
Negative:
-I didn’t like P.E, because I wasn’t very good at this subject, it was very
difficult for me.
-In the third course of primary I had a nasty teacher, she was called
Aurora, and I didn’t like her lessons.
-I had many bad peers , but at this moment I can’t remember none.
7. MY SIXTH COURSE OF
PRIMARY
Sixth of primary was a good year. This course wasn’t
very difficult. In this year I learned a lot of things. In my
class there were twenty classmates. My teacher’s name
was Manuel.
My favourite subjects were Maths, English, Science and
Language, I didn’t like P.E.
When the course finished we took this photo.
No doubt this was my favourite course of primary.
8. SECONDARY SCHOOL
I began Secondary School five months ago. When I
started “I.E.S. O Castro” High School I was very
nervous.
I like Secondary School but sometimes it is quite
difficult. I have many more teachers at high school than
at school. I like more high school lessons than school
ones. In high school there are more people, this is good
but sometimes it is very oppressive.
My favourite subjects are Maths, Language, English,
Geography… I don’t like P.E.
Now, there are at least thirty pupils.
I thought high school would be worse than it really is.
9. MY LIFE NOW
Now I’ve got the same
expectations than when I was
younger, these hopes are :
getting always good marks,
having many friends, being a
good person…
I would like to make a degree a
course and finish it with very
good marks.
I’m nervous and worried about
my exams, because I’d like to get
good marks.
I have not changed much since I
was a little girl .
I like the same things, but some
Likes have changed.
I don’t want to grow up too fast.
I’m happy with my life.
10. ME AND
MY BOOKS
The books are very important for me. My
family also loves books and they passed
me the love of reading. I love reading
because the books lead you to another
world, with them you are able to dream.
My favourite book is “The Boy in the
Striped Pyjamas” (John Boyne), it is a
good story about a German boy named
Bruno, he and his family move to a
horrible house, near the house there is a
concentration camp where he meets a
Jewish boy called Shmuel and they
become friends. I love this book because
it shows how cruel the history can be.
My favourite book when I was a very little
girl was “Beauty and the best”, I read this
book many times, it was very beautiful,
because it always said: “Beauty is in the
interior”.
My favourite genre of book is mystery .
11. HOBBIES & INTERESTS
In my free time I like playing with
my kitty, swimming, reading… and I
love playing the piano, because I
love music, when I play in public I
get very nervous. Playing the piano
is quite complicated but it is very
beautiful. I play the piano an hour
a day. I go to the “Conservatorio
Profesional de Música de Vigo”. My
favourite composers are Bach,
Vivaldi, Mozart, Beethoven…
I think I am an extrovert person.
This year I haven’t got any new
interest, I like the same things as
always .
