2. Setup A general tip on getting setup. Create one account for your class, then create 'Identities' for each pupil. You do this by clicking on the down arrow on the top right side. These identities need an image (or avatar) to help identify them. When commenting, children select their identity, so their comments are tagged as coming from them.
3. Book tour Have students illustrate a main idea from the book and add text and voice to their scene
4. Around the world Illustrate regions or places that they are learning about and add voice and or text to explain and describe their important site
5. Post card fun Have students upload postcards from around the world Student can add audio of information from each state
6. How’s My artwork? Peer Review ArtworkScan in and upload the children's artwork. Using VoiceThread, the children zoom in on each other's work, adding comments and annotations on sections they like.
7. What are they thinking? Find images of people. Ask pupils to add text / audio comments to explore what the characters in the pictures might be saying / thinking / feeling. This is great for developing inference, deduction and empathy skills.
8. Digital Portfolios Students can add of series of images either of themselves learning or of their actual work. Record thoughts and reflections with each image. Use the doodle pen to highlight specific things. Encourage family members to leave comments
9. Improve writing Upload a piece of good writing and in shared reading annotate what makes it goodUpload a piece of 'dull' writing and choose sections for children to improve- annotate or record
10. Poetry Have students draw what they see when they hear the poem or poem they created. Students will record their poem to go with the scene the created Allow classmates to comment on the poems that are posted.
