1. Contrast between the film Dante's Peak and Into the
Storm
Since films came out, genres like disasters and adventure films are
popular. These genres are more likely popular towards the teen-adulthood,
films such as Dante's Peak and Into the Storm. During the time when Dante's
Peak came out, films like Titanic, Jurassic Parks and Terminators managed
took the spotlight from Dante's Peak. In such, there is also Captain America:
The Winter Soldier, Transformers: Age of Extinction and Guardian of the
Galaxy compare with Into the Storm. Of all other films I chose Dante's Peak
and Into the Storm is because of the natural disaster involved. These two
films have different types of natural disaster, different actors acting for the
characters and number of storyline.
First of all, the films each have different type of natural disaster
happening such as volcano eruption and tornado. In the film Dante's Peak,
the type of natural disaster happening in it is that of a volcanic eruption.In
the movie,the volcano erupts two time. First is that the volcano erupts,
causing earthquakes to rock the town and turning the river acidic. The
second eruption is larger that comes in a pyroclastic flow which obliterate
everything in its path. However, as for Into the Storm it is a film with
hailstorm appearing and mainly tornado afterward causing havoc to the town.
In the film, there is a part where an explosion occurs turning the tornado into
a fire whirl which killed Jacob that tried to film it. Besides that, the film
happen to have a convergence of tornadoes in result of a colossal
EF5(Enhanced Fujita scale 5) tornado that threatens to level the town.
Next, both the films have different actors acting for the characters,
people like Richard Armitage, Sarah Wayne Callies, Linda Hamilton and
Pierce Brosnan. In the film Dante's Peak, Pierce Brosnan act as the main
character of the story as Dr. Harry Dolton and Linda Hamilton as Rachel
Wando. Dr. Harry Dolton acts as a volcanologist of the United States
Geological Survey that studies about volcanic activity and Rachel Wando as
the Mayor of the town Dante's Peak. On the other hand, we have Richard
Armitage as Mr. Gary Fuller and Sarah Wayne Callies as Allinson Stone
from the film Into the Storm. They both played the leading role in this film.
Mr. Gary Fuller acting as the Vice Principal of Silverton High School and
Allinson Stone as the Meteorologist.

2. Furthermore, it is the number of storyline involving in these two films.
The first film will be Dante's Peak. In the film Dante's Peak, the film have a
total of one storyline. Evidently, Volcanologist Dr. Harry Dolton and Mayor
Rachel Wando managed to convinced the citizens of Dante's Peak to
evacuate the town immediately from the near outburst of the volcano, only
to discover that her two kids have driven up the mountain with the lorry to
get their grandmother down. With Earth's clock racing against them, they
have to rescue the kids and grandma before the volcano erupts in a fury of
flame and ash a million times more powerful than an atomic bomb. However,
the film Into the Storm have a total of two storyline. The first storyline is
that the Storm Chasers went to Silverton town in hopes of filming tornadoes
after not being able to film anything for a year long. The other storyline is
that of Gary Fuller asked of his two son to record messages from the seniors
for a time capsule to be opened in 25 years, only to find the sudden sour of
the weather during the commencement ceremonies which lead to a tornado
striking the school. Later on, Gary Fuller found out that his eldest son,
Donnie Fuller is trapped at an abandoned paper mill together with Kaitlyn
Johnston which he have to rescue.
Thus, the films Dante's Peak and Into the Storm have their differences
even tho they both have the same genres. In such, different type of natural
disaster happening, the actors acting for the characters and the number of
storyline being hold in the films. Not just that they have differences but also
some similarity such as the main characters from both films have the love of
protecting their own family when disaster strikes which also makes it a film
where everyone would love to watch with moral values.
