On September 11th, Doug Roerdon, Vice President for User Experience Design Strategy, gave a presentation entitled "Will my helicopter fit in your garage?", essentially a plea from “the rest of us,” whomever that may be. Over the past decade or so of creating user experiences in a digital world, the original 80-20 rule has silently and inadvertently become a fundamentally different 80 rule, where satisfying just 80% of users has somehow become acceptable. And it really isn’t, from user or business points of view. In fact, the 20% in many situations has shrunk in percentage but grown in importance.

On April 9, 2014, Mary Kennedy, User Experience, Product Design & Management expert, gave a talk entitled "Demystifying UX – A toolkit approach to better, cheaper & faster experience design." UX / User Experience is booming as a practice and methodology. However, there is often misunderstanding and mystery around UX basic practices. Join us for a discussion of simple tools and processes to use as a reliable toolkit from project to project. Yes, they take time to complete but these practices in the early stages of design mean lower rates of change later in the project - translating to lower cost, faster timelines and more solid design decisions.

These are some pictures of the sheep and cattle station that I stayed on at Comeroo. The spa was fed by a bore hole which brought water up 3000 feet at a temperature of 44C.
