4. I decided to keep the masthead that I originally
planned to use as I came up with no other
ideas that would appeal more to the teenage
girl audience. In addition it was voted most
popular on the survey and during discussion
amongst peers.
All the pop you need
I kept the original plans for the text I was going
to use on the front cover as I believe it will
One Direction Reveal... attract the target audience I am looking for and
stands out from the central image. It is
What they really get up to when we are not around! important to do this as I want it to put across
the image that it is a girly magazine yet with a
mature theme due to the pastel colours I chose
EXCLUSIVE
to use. I used ‘Exclusive’ in a bit of a brighter
colour as I want it to stand out from the other
“I may have a lot of relationships but I’m just text and the readers believe they are getting
waiting for the right guy to come along.”- something out of the magazine that they won’t
Taylor Swift get from anywhere else.
5. In my opinion I believe that the central
image is one of the most important parts
of the front cover and am proud with the
outcome. I would want my readers to feel
like they can be like this whenever they
want to. As well as this it also shows this is
a teenage girl magazine and fits in well
with the target audience. I didn’t do any
editing to the shot except to crop it as I
wanted it to keep a natural look.
In the original plan I was going to have a
few graphic images on the front cover,
however, I chose not too as I didn’t want it
to take anything away from the central
image showing a happy girl in sweet
clothing promoting happiness and the fact
you can do anything you set yourself out to
do.
