2. For my first page layout I have produced two identical designs but however I have reversed the colours. This is a technique most
publications use which is also could a drop out. I did this as it gives both poster two different effects.
I have used a range of different fonts for each piece of information placed on the poster. The master header I have used a graffiti
font. I thought this was a appropriate as fibbers is a venue young people will tend to go to. Also graffiti is urban that youths are
interested. It makes the header stand out and draws the audiences attention too. As it is located at the very top of the page.
Underneath I have inserted the information in the centre making it easy to follow in steps. the band names I have used a sharp
bold font. By choosing a bold font this emphasises the text and automatically the first thing that catches your eye.
With the date and time I used a digital font. This is so that it links in with the meaning but also making it interesting by using the
different fonts.
This layout is basic as the only skills that are used are text and font. As it is targeted at young people and having it freestyle and
giving it a edgy informal appearance which links in perfectly.
3. In my second design I have used the same layout but however I have
changed the colour of the background into purple, and used white
text. There is a lot of similarities as the first design with the way in
which the text has bee laid out but however I have placed the master
header in the centre of the page. I have used a bold chunky font so it
its not missed.
The price, date and time are all in the same font followed by the
names of the bands and the social network links in the same font at
the bottom.
Again I have experimented with different fonts seeing what I like and
what goes well on the posters. I have kept the same font size for each
piece and the text is focused in the centre to give the layout a neat
look so the audience will find it easier to follow.
Looking at the first designs you can see the similarities as they way in
which it has been laid out but the colour has changed.
The change of colour makes the poster that more interesting rather
than having a negative background, the colour takes the focus away
and makes it more eye catching.
4. My last design I decided to go for the reverse background and
keep it black as it links in perfectly with the meaning of what
fibbers is. I have used a red font which compliments the black
background perfectly. The colour makes it more dangerous and
screams to the audience as it is such a powerful and bright
colour which cannot avoid.
The font for the master header I went for a horror looking font.
The text looks like the font is dripping making it look like blood
which is the theme I have gone for, I wanted the ,aster head to
always stand out from the rest of the text.
In my second design I placed the font in the centre of the page, I
found that I didn’t like this as it blended in with other text.
Therefore I thought it was best if I placed the header at the top
of the page.
with the first two designs I placed the text in the centre making it
look like a list making it very basic and simple. With this design I
decided to place the text across. This time I have used the same
font through out the poster apart from the header as I wanted
people to identify the name of the club from the rest as this
technique is used in almost every publication and I wanted to
stick to the same method.
