Where: Northeast Lakeview College--Performing Arts Center

This FREE event for high school juniors and seniors and their
parents will provide information about the college process:
admissions, paying for college, careers, time management, and the
college experience.
The conference will end with door prizes, including $10,000 in
scholarships, the awarding of the high school spirit award (the
school with the highest participation rate), and a performance by
San Antonio’s own motivational group, HYPE.

Frederick Douglass
Frederick Douglass: born into slavery on February
1818, in Tuckahoe, Maryland. In 1838 he fled. After
speaking at a 1841 antislavery convention he felt
impelled to write his autobiography in 1845. While
speaking abroad, Douglass helped to win many
supporters for abolition and for humanitarian
reform. During the Civil War Douglass became a
consultant to President Abraham Lincoln.

Seniors –
If you will be participating in ROTC in college
and you will be graduating with either the
Distinguished High School program or the IB
program—you may be eligible to apply for the
Texas Armed Services Scholarship program.
