Some would regard a home business as their dream,
but I think it is a necessity. Jobs are not so
secure, so it pays to plan how you will create new
sources of income, by developing your research
skills and recognizing opportunities.
As I write this book there is great financial
market volatility and a lot of shaken spirits,
with countries and many people, burdened by debt
and coping with rising unemployment. Wealth is in
the hands of the few, so looking for new paths to
wealth is critical.

quite clearly possible, even in this unlikely
environment; opportunities are all around us – no
need to look much further than the Internet. It
creates such leverage for us all, that you would
be mad not to find a business that you could

Certain principles need to be spelled out right

choose to create a business where there is no
demand, so you need to do your research. If you
create a business in an area where you cannot
compete, because of the huge supply of products
and services, then you will face a tough struggle.

I started my online business in 2002, when I wrote
a book about my trading wins and losses. I sold
that book online before I new anything about doing
business online. I had a roller coaster ride in my
trading and I think I was just looking for an
avenue to do some purging.
Since then I have been learning about what works
online. The problem is that over time things have
changed so much and it’s very hard to pin down any
magic formulas for success with an online
business, but I have ONE for you. There are
however, a few things you can do to make sure you

The hardest part in getting started is deciding
the market for setting up your business. It is
critical. It must be a market where people are
buying. This is such an important concept and one
that will be treated in the program. Some get this
right and then they enjoy running a business,
while others choose unwisely and find they can’t
compete and make no money. You must make the right
market selection to fit your skills, experience
and interest. No one can guarantee your success –
there are just too many variables when it comes to
business success.

put into action. Some strategies will work just
fine in your niche and most things work if you can
get traffic. If you can’t put a report into
action, immediately, we ask you to drop the method
and do something else.
This means you work on projects in your comfort
zone and outsource everything you can’t or don’t
want to do. You also use part of your job earnings
to invest in your business. This may be tricky if
you are in debt and you can’t afford to outsource,
but learn how, so that when you can start, you do.
Till that time, it’s a case of you learning the
skills and doing the work. Most people cannot
apply themselves to one hour per day – can you?

Become a Problem Solver!
The first and most important thing is to identify
a problem. I'll tell you what happened to me. I
was just about to water the fruit trees, when a
fuse burned out on the switchboard and brought my
watering job to a close. I won't go into every
detail, but I will tell you this, when you are
using old technology you stand to lose.
I went everywhere looking for 35 amp fuse wire and
guess what? No one stocked that fuse wire. Instead
people were being prodded to upgrade there
switchboards and use trip switches. So one

regulation change and one out-date system meant
that one electrician was going to make money out
of solving my dilemma and if I didn't upgrade, my
trees were going to die.
My advice to you is build your business around
offering a solution to a problem. If you get
bored, find another problem and solve. Then offer
that solution to the market. If you can't get
people to subscribe to your list then the problem
is not motivating enough and there probably is
little money in that venture.

Affiliate Products
Building a list of subscribers is a great
autopilot strategy and guarantees you will always
have someone to talk to when you have a product
you want to promote. If you are not sure about the
power of having your own group of subscribers,
then think about Facebook, with almost one billion
accounts and how many ads they can post in front
of people.
Using Articles To Build Your List
Buy a Domain
You need to have a domain to call your own. When
you decide on your market. Do a search of Google
and get a domain for your keyword. It might
require you to modify your keyword if you can’t
find a domain that is available. Namecheap.com is
one place you can go to buy and do a search for
available domains for your keyword. Make sure your
domain matches your business.
Your Blog
Getting visitors to your blog is your most
important job and the hope is that they will want
to sign up for special free offers and later will
become your customers. Your web host will have
cpanel and Fantastico so you can install Word
Press blogs easily. Just check this before you
sign up.
By having an opt-in list you get the opportunity
to introduce your products and services to
visitors. Your list building strategy, where you
work to increase your subscribers, is a very

important daily marketing strategy. To keep it low
cost, give away important content via your blog,
in the form of reports, posts and articles. You
can also outsource your list building and writing
– in fact you can outsource all the work.
By getting the consent of your website visitors
when they subscribe to your newsletters and other
promotional materials you are free to contact them
forever and eventually sell them something.
Once they opt-in to your list you can keep in
touch with them. It is essential that you present
your promotional items in a manner that will catch
the interest and the eye of your subscribers to
keep them wanting more. The best way to do this is
to provide fun, entertaining and informational
articles.
Good articles with useful information will help
you to build your list, as more subscribers are
enticed to subscribe. When they have read the
samples of your content, they will want more. Thus
subscribing to your newsletter should be a
valuable experience for you and your subscribers.
Your email messages can be programmed ahead of
time and the whole system runs on autopilot. You
can send broadcasts from time to time and with any
luck, watch your bank account grow as more and
more people are exposed to your content, products
and services, whether they are your own, or
affiliate offers.
Website owners use articles, written for a
specific keyword or keywords and use these to get
listed in the search engine results and thereby
discovered by a greater number of people – for as
long as there are searches for that keyword and

for as long as there is a listing. Search engine
optimisation strategies are quite important
strategies to get you listed so you can be found
by others who might want what you have to sell.
Today more people are connecting to the internet
via their mobile device and searching for their
information needs, so serving this growing portion
of the population with the right information means
making your sites mobile ready, so users can read
your articles. It all adds up to more website
traffic if you are mobile ready. With more
traffic, the percentage of your sales will grow.
More traffic with the right planning turns into
more profit.
The News Site
News sites have become well loved by Google and
represent one way to get content articles listed
on the first page of search results. The
importance of well written, information packed
articles for specific keywords gives you a
priority over other content, if you are seen as
providing a good service by presenting up to date
news on a specific topic - articles that provide
the information many are seeking on the Internet.
If your site has great articles, more people will
be going to your site for information and research
– that’s where we having something for them to buy
on the topic and/or ways to collect from
advertising.
Well-written articles will also boost your site’s
reputation. Just make sure to do a little research
prior to writing and make sure to edit. Your
articles must be well written so that the people
will become your loyal fans.

Find out which keywords are important in driving
traffic to your site and make sure to include
those keywords in the articles you write. If you
provide your visitors with the answers for their
needs and wants, they will be happy to receive
your newsletters as well as other promotional
materials to keep them well informed. Other people
may even forward your newsletters to their friends
when they find an interesting article and news
about your site begins to spread.
You should provide links in your newsletter so
that when people are reading it and want to read
more, they can click on the link and go to your
site to read the whole article or visit your
affiliate links. Links in articles posted
elsewhere can be used to direct people to
subscribe to your list and keep it growing. Look
around for interesting places for your articles.
Make sure to keep your subscribers happy and
interested in your newsletters and promotional
materials. Keep on posting and writing good
articles for your site and newsletter. If you are
not interested in writing, or if you just don’t
have the time, you can outsource all your writing.
This is an investment that will pay for itself in
time.
How to Set Up Your Subscription Page
A service like Aweber allows you to establish as
many pages as you like where people can subscribe
for various topics. You can try out various auto-
responder services and find one you like. You may
have multiple products or services and you can
have subscription pages for each product or
service.

Once you have an auto-responder service you can
create your subscription box. You will get access
to html code or java script to place on your site.
If you have a blog, there are plug-ins you can use
that will display this script for you. Just
download the plug-in and activate it from your
blog admin panel. You will then have a widget you
can use. Enter the script in the widget and then
drag the widget to the location where you want it.
Believe me – this is easy.
Becoming an Affiliate
If you are not interested in creating your own
products and services, by becoming an affiliate
for someone else’s program, you will always have
something to sell and you will make a commission
on each sale.
To find affiliate programs for your niche all you
do is enter your niche into the Google search box
and in quotations write, “affiliate program”. This
will give you a list of programs you can join and
you will get access to your affiliate links which
you will use to promote various products and
services.
It is important that you work to build your list
so that you will have someone to talk to about
these products and services.
Product, Keywords and Web Pages
You can set up the keyword specific website and
sell an affiliate product on auto-pilot, by
sending constant traffic to the page, either by
using paid advertising, social media, or free
traffic from your Google search listing. This
strategy may work better for paid traffic, as
Google doesn’t really like affiliate pages. So the
trick is to make sure to produce content –

articles which give great information about the
keyword.
Think of a spider web and how the spider sets up
the web to catch the insects. In your case you
will make it juicy by including content to entice
your visitor to stick with you.
Making Money with Your Article Marketing Biz
Article marketing is nothing new, but it is a
great way to set up your autopilot biz. Once you
have written and distributed the article, to
article directories, it will continue to work for
you for as long as it appears in search results
and for free. The idea is that the more articles
you post the more free traffic will be directed to
you, via your resource box links. The only
negative development is how Google's search
results change. Yet, the demand for written
content is still great and you could set up your
article writing business, whereby you take orders
to write articles for other people, as well as
yourself; do the research and write articles or
reports and then sell them.
What Do You Write About?
Are you new to writing articles? No need to worry
- it’s not hard. I would suggest that you go to an
article directory like, Ezine Articles, and read
what other people are writing about. Find a topic
that is getting a lot of views, pick an affiliate
product that you can link to and create your
article giving the reader lots of information that
is relevant and will help them solve their
problem.
Most people are looking for a solution to a
situation and you can be the one that does the

research and presents them with the solution that
they need.
How Do You Write Your Article?
You need an important focus and in-demand keywords
in your title. The title is very important to the
reader and it’s your way of getting lots of views,
so keep that in mind. The keywords need to be
words that are searched by Internet users. You can
use the Google external keyword tool to find out
how many searches your keyword is getting online –
do a search for it on Google.
To get an idea of how to create titles you need to
read lots of articles and make some notes as to
any “catchy” use of words. For example you might
like to use this one to get you started: “The 3
Most Important Things About…” or “How to …”. Study
article titles for ideas you can use.
Have You Researched the Topic?
In order to discover your solution for the
selected topic make sure to do sufficient research
and read all the articles you can, that deal with
the topic you have chosen. Make notes along the
way of important points. You will make use of
these notes to help you write your article. For
example, enter your important keywords in a Google
search and see which resources you can use. I like
the idea of using article directories because you
can see if there are any articles getting views
for that topic.
Once you have completed your research and you have
your title, you know your topic and which keywords
are in demand. Now the mission is to share 3 or 4
valuable points, which will form the major
discussion points within your article. Within each

paragraph you will elaborate on each of the major
points.
Writing a Conclusion
This is an important way of rounding off your
article and mentioning once again the most
important points for your reader to remember. So
far I’ve mentioned the importance of a good title,
to help you get lots of views, making sure you
find a topic of interest that people are searching
for and to use the important keywords in your
title. Also you will need to research your topic
so that you learn about the topic and the most
relevant solutions that will help and inform your
reader.
The Resource Box is Your Money Link
Designing the last piece of the article is of
critical importance to you, if you want to make
some money. The resource box is the last thing the
reader sees after reading your article. Your job
is to increase your credibility, as well as entice
your reader to become your subscriber. Include a
short, two sentence, description of your
expertise, your qualifications, or your
experience, as well as give the reader the
opportunity to learn more by including your
subscription link.
If you have not set up your auto-responder landing
page to collect subscriber names and emails - do
so! If you just want to include the link to the
affiliate product or service you can, but
remember, it may not be a sale every time. Making
them a subscriber is great because now they get to
know you and you will have more opportunities to
sell them products and services.

So the first thing is an introductory sentence
that tells them about you and this is followed up
with a link so that they can get a free course,
report, or an affiliate link to a product or
service. Sending them to your blog or website can
have benefits from the point of view of Google
rankings in the search engine. The more people
that visit your site, the more attention your
website gets from Google.
Your resource box is of critical importance.
Without this vital piece in the article, there is
no chance of making any money with your article.
The link within the resource box is how the reader
will keep in contact with you, become your
subscriber and your customer.
Article Writing and Directories
Once upon a time submitting to directories was the
in-thing to do, but things changed. Now if you
want your content to matter and to bring you
visitors and subscribers for your content,
products and services, then you need to create
your own blog that focuses squarely on the topic.
The Word Press blog is a great content management
system and you should create a blog, as it
simplifies how to store and present your content.
Blogs also produce an RSS feed (stands for really
simple syndication) and RSS directories pick up
this feed and list your content for you. This
enables you to be noticed. It’s a great way to get
free advertising for what you do. Become a regular
poster of information and that way your content
becomes more visible to Google.

Your Aim in Doing Anything Online

If one in a hundred will buy from you, then you
can work out how much traffic you need to bring to
your offer before you are able to make the sales
you want and of course nothing is guaranteed. Give
them a reason to subscribe to your list and get
into the habit of creating offers that no one can
refuse because they are so good!
Now take your best stuff, created over time in
your niche and create your ebook with your
articles and list it on www.ganxy.com or list your
kindle on Amazon. Amazon is far better as it's a
buyer's market. Always be thinking about how you
can re-use the content you create. Can you make a
video, a book, a course etc.
Do not stop with the article. At best the article
will help people find you and become your
subscriber, which is great, but you also want your
own stable of products as well as distribution
channels and books, courses and videos can become
channels for your products and services. Think
about turning your articles into videos and
audios.

Create Products
and Sell Them
The benefits of creating products are that you get
100% of the sale. You also have total control of
the availability of the product and the money from
sales goes straight into your account – no
waiting! So having a Pay Pal business account gets
you ready to do business fast, as you can create
Pay Pal buy buttons quickly and add them to your
offer.
The Selling Process Starts With Education
The selling process is all about educating the
market about what you have to offer. This means
providing content, free of charge, to help build
up visitor interest and of course subscribers.
Trading content for the subscriber’s name and
email have become a traditional way of using the
Internet and if the visitor will not subscribe to
get something for free, then they won’t buy from
you either, so don’t get bothered by it. There is
an old school notion of qualifying the prospect
and by giving you their details, in return for
information, they qualify themselves for your
valuable time.

It All Starts with Research
Write Down Five Likely Niches to Research
Deciding your niche should be done after
considerable research. Examine the marketplace for
what sells and whose selling what and who is
advertising and what are they advertising.
Zero in on Your Preferred Money-Making Niche
Try to pick a niche where people are passionate
about something and where people are selling stuff
right now. You can use Facebook to see which
groups have thousands of active members. Make
notes about everything as you go.
Use Amazon, eBay, Clickbank and Facebook
Have a look at Amazon and see which products are
selling for that group. Think about the keywords
and do a search. Also look at eBay and find out
what is a hot market there.
Google Research
Niche research is a critical step and you don’t
want to skip this step. Use Google reader and
subscribe to Google Alerts for your keyword. See
what comes up in the way of stories. If there is
nothing over the course of a week - drop it!
Step Two: Product Creation
Find a problem in your niche and create a
solution. Now that you have your niche all you do
is decide which products to develop for your
audience. Don’t forget the subscriber list you
have been building. Ask them what they would like.
Conduct a survey of your list and use this to help
you come up with product ideas. There is no point
in wasting valuable time and money creating
something that no one wants to buy.

The 100K Residual Income Formula
This is my favourite idea because it gives you a
recurring income every month. You may be an expert
in your area and by teaching others, using your
expertise, you could set up a membership site for
your topic. Even if you are not an expert, your
product could be a membership where you outsource
all the content, or seek experts and do interviews
for your members on a regular basis.
If you could work out what someone would be
willing to pay $97 per month and you were to get
86 people to join your program, you would have a
recurring income of $100,000 per year. At the end
of the book there’s a link to a program that
teaches you how to create your own membership
program and walks you through every step and a
whole lot more. You’ll also get on-going support
to develop an income.
Become an Author
Here is an example. You are reading the example
and you may have guessed by now that you could
create Kindle books and sell them on Amazon. Never
has publishing been so easy – go for it! The best
part is that you are aligning yourself to one of
the big marketplaces online – that means lots of
traffic (buyers and browsers) and you can study
the market and find out what is selling.
The next great thing about Amazon is that it costs
you very little to get off the ground, dip your
feet into the pool and test the water. Did you
know there are Kindle millionaires? Now this is
something anyone can do – I’ve proved it.

Steps For Product Creation
 Do your niche research and find a problem
that needs a solution.
 Find out what is selling in the niche.
 Create your blog and build your list of
subscribers.
 Find out what your subscribers want by
surveying them.
 Come up with some product ideas by looking at
products in the market. Find someone that
will create your product for you and claim
copyright to the product and put your name on
it.
 Outsource: my prediction is that outsourcing
will save struggling entrepreneurs, who want
to start a business, but feel totally
overwhelmed, because they have been trained
to be employees. Keep your job and study
outsourcing and while your sources are
creating your business, you are at the day
job and counting the money.

You Need a Distribution Channel
How about your own TV channel on YouTube? This
should be your first project as it is important
for you to build your brand and to attract
visitors and subscribers that may eventually
become your customers. It's an opportunity to
educate people in what you have to offer.
The best thing is that YouTube has tutorials on
how to do this. Go there now and start learning
about one of the best and cheapest ways to start
your business. You can create your audience and
sell premium content by creating a membership.
You may think it's hard to learn to make videos.
Well, what about if I told you can turn your
PowerPoint Presentations into videos, plus there
are lots of tools you can use. Mac computers come
with iMovie, so having a Mac is great news if you
want to make videos.
Google's YouTube is great news and so are their
tools and uploading your videos is dead simple. So
there is no need to worry. You can have your
channel working for you 24/7 and it's free. Plus
you can pick up advertising revenue as well, just
for running ads with your videos.
Consider also that the products being created and
sold by Apple can also become distribution
channels for your content. Think about the iPads,
iPhones and ibooks and consider how to get some
leverage by using Apple's resources. In fact,
Apple encourages you to provide content for users.

Making Money with Apps
Currently this is a very hot market, but not an
easy one to make a start. This is because you need
to know how to outsource your projects and
outsourcing requires some study and a little
money.
The idea revolves around making iphone and ipad
apps that you can sell or give away from the Apple
store. The reason for choosing the Apple store is
that this gives your app exposure to a big market.
Something like 30 million apps are downloaded each
day. Now that’s an amazing figure!
If you can crack on to a great app idea and you do
some successful marketing to gain exposure for
your app, you might find you are doing a scary
amount of business. On average prices of 99 cents
you wouldn’t think there are already app
millionaires, but there are and you are going to
experience more success by giving them away, as
opposed to selling your apps.
What is the Business Model?
Well first you need the idea, then someone to make
it for you and then you give it away from the
Apple store. Now let’s talk about how it makes
money. Firstly, you could make money with
advertising on your mobile app. Next you could
sell affiliate products by messaging your app
customers. You can also promote other apps and
make commissions on affiliate sales and you cross-
promote all your apps via the app you give away or
sell.

Making Apps for Your Market
If you knew that a segment of the market could
make more money by promoting themselves via apps,
could you perhaps make apps for them? So you could
set yourself up as an in-between person, providing
an app service to others who want apps and
outsourcing the making of the apps.
Hot Markets Right Now
At the moment the hottest markets for apps are:
games, entertainment and education. This of course
could change and it’s a good idea to go and study
the types of apps being made and do some research
in the Apple store. Get some apps for your phone
and play around with them. You never know, you
might find a way of re-designing and improving a
popular app.
The most interesting type of app is one that
allows you to publish and can become your backend
to passive profits. Apple collects the money for
you and all you do is keep publishing and growing
your audience, all the while making passive income
from your magazine titles.
When you are ready you can sell your magazine
business and move your money into the next
venture.

Trading and Forex
Foreign exchange trading (forex for short) can be
extremely lucrative, but can also be risky, so
only trade with money you can afford to lose, when
trades don’t go the way you hoped. It is a 3
trillion dollar daily market and is run mainly by
the banks.
I would also add right at the start that you need
time to learn the business. Reading so far may
cause you to feel less excited and start looking
somewhere else for the fast buck, but you are just
as likely to have no results in the next project
or lose money in other pursuits, because making
money from home is all about learning the business
and using systems.
I won’t talk about forex robots because I think it
is best to know how they work and why they won’t
work. There are lots of robots that just don’t
make the grade and then there are those that might
work for a while, if you are lucky. They don’t
usually work well in all market conditions.
Now if you are serious about your trading business
then it’s a good idea to learn how to trade and
then you have a very special skill you can pass on
to your kids and use for the rest of your life and
it won’t take much time out of your day.
If You Want to Trade Forex – You Need a System
The first thing is to get a basic understanding of
what you are getting into. Learn about forex
trading, risk and money management by doing a home
study course. Get an idea of what all the forex
terms mean and learn a forex trading system that
sets out the rules. You can probably get a free

course from a broker that handles forex trades -
look them up on Google. Set up your paper-trading
account and practice trading. You will need to
complete 6 months of paper trading so you get into
the swing of using your system, placing trades
with stops and exit points.
During this time you will start to learn a little
about trading and whether it’s for you. You will
also start thinking seriously about getting a
system you can rely on to produce sufficient wins
to make you a profitable trader. If you use a
system that WINS 50% of the time, you can make a
very comfortable trading income – you don’t have
to be right all the time. You see, you win by
having small losing trades, due to your trading
rules and larger wins due to your trading rules.
Your money management rules, such as, position
size, are the most important rules you will
design. If your trade positions are large, you are
taking a bigger risk and if you are wrong about
the direction of the trade, you will lose more
money and eventually go out of business.
Buy a System or Buy a Signal Service?
When you buy a system you should be getting a
system that has been tested and will have a track
record. Designing your own trading system is not
recommended for a beginner – would you do surgery
without experience? Eventually, you would like to
be an independent trader and work things out for
yourself, but it’s also very important to have a
successful trading career. Learn first and
experiment later, when you are rich.
Signal services give you the trades that are
possible and have been spotted by someone else’s
system. All you do is place the trade that has
been handed to you by the signal service, to your

broker. Your trades are placed using the forex-
trading platform you are using and connecting to,
via your computer and the Internet. As long as you
are connected to the Internet, you can run your
trading business from any yacht, island or country
in the world.
There are dangers in using a signal service and
it's probably better to buy a trading system that
works and demo test it, before you put money on
the line.
Price Action
Charting software by showing you demand for a
currency at any point in time all you need is to
learn to read the patterns. Technical analysis is
the study of prices and human behaviour. History
repeats and price patterns occur in charts.
Learn and Study Technical Analysis
Technology does not stand still and today you can
do so much more, with each advance taking a lot of
the “work” out of keeping track and analysing
price charts, however it is highly recommended
that you do courses on technical analysis – it’s
actually a lot of fun and if you like maths, you
will love charting
There are only 3 things that you must know:
the entry price, the target exit prices and your
stop price and that's what is supplied by the
software. It tells you when there is a trade and
what to do.
I would like to tell you that you can make good
money and make it fast and lose it fast. Forex is
something to study and an important consideration
for your portfolio.

This brings us to the last section of this book
and the beginning of your journey to create income
streams from home. I’ve briefly mentioned what I
like, which includes membership programs, selling
on Amazon, apps, product creation and the use of
outsourcing. If you study how you can use
outsourcing I believe you will find a way to get
very rich – it is full of potential. Plus you
don’t need to give up your job, or need many
skills except how to manage people and projects.
The other amazing activity is forex trading. It
doesn’t matter how bad the economy gets you can
always have a forex trading business. It really is
the top dog pursuit. The only thing is it might
not suit your personality and temperament and
requires capital. Not everyone can deal with
losing money and a string of losses and it’s
possible with trading.
