Reduce energy losses at dock bay?
The equipment configuration
3 things to consider:
The leveller If you have the place the
best solution is of course
the load-house-
But sometimes it is not
possible due to too lack of
place in front of the dock
the alternative is Isodock.

The Dock door
An insulated door is a must but
Bottom and top sealing have to be in good shape and well adjusted
U Value
U-values gauge how well a material
allows heat to pass through.
The U value is depending on the
design and thickness of the door.
For overhead sectional door with
insulated panels this U value is around
1W/m2K and it can go up to 4W/m2K
for a glazed door.
Maintaining your door will help you
secure that the door always insulate as
it did when you purchased it.

To limit draft at all time an airlock system based on a
combination of a sectional door and a high speed door
should be installed
