2. Stir
To move a spoon round and round in a
bowl to mix the ingredients

To rub, mash or work shortening against the
side of a bowl with back of the spoon until
smooth and creamy

4. Blend
 to mix two or more ingredients until one
cannot tell one ingredient from the other

5. Beat
To make mixture smooth and light by lifting
over and over

6. Whip
To beat rapidly with a whisk beater

7. Knead
• To manipulate by pressure alternated with
folding and stretching
