13. Foreign Language Placement Foreign Language at OSU is based on 3-term sequences that start in the Fall. The level of language is indicated by the first number in course number – e.g. French 311 is a third year course. The term a course is offered is indicated by the last two numbers in the course number. -- 11 = Fall term -- 12 = Winter term -- 13 = Spring term So, if you placed into Spanish 212, you would start Spanish Winter term.
