2. What is Child Rearing? Parenting is the process of creating an environment that promotes and supports the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development of a child from infancy to adulthood. Parenting does not refer to just a biological connection, it’s and individual that is raising or helping to raise a child. There are four categories that all parenting falls into based on how much the parent is involved with the child and the demands they place on them.
