1) The document discusses editing photos for use in a magazine advert, digipack, and CD cover. Photos were taken during a trip to Chicago and narrowed down. 2) One photo was cropped to fit an A4 page for the advert and colors were enhanced using a cooling photo filter. Another photo had the sky selected and an orange photo filter applied to make it appear like sunset for the cover. 3) Additional photos were edited to match the theme by applying the same photo filters at different intensities depending on the image's purpose and placement in the materials.

Filterandfadedit slightlytogive ita more natural appearance.Ichose thisfiltertomake the image
appearto have beentakenat sunsetordusk,relatingtomy video’stheme of nightlife andpartying.I
theninvertedmyselectiontofocusonthe skyline of myimage.Usingthe BrightnessandContrast
tool,I increasedthe brightnessslightlyandalsoincreasedthe contrastinorderto add more
definitiontothe buildingsandenhance the shadows.Thismade the buildingsmatchthe skyas it
seemsasthoughthe sun issetting.

For my back coverimage,Iusedthe same PhotoFilteroverthe entire image togive a sense of
continuitywiththe cover.However,Ididn’tfade the effectasmuch onthe back coverimage as it
was takenearlierinthe dayand therefore neededmore colours inordertomatch the cover.
I appliedthe same photo filtertomy CD image inorderto make the image match all the others.
I appliedalighterfilteronmyinside image,asitisa panoramicimage that will coverfive inside
‘pages’.Therefore,Ididnotwantthe colourto be too overwhelming.
