27. Teachers’ opinion of the "Conectar
Igualdad" Progr
“I think it is excellent as it tries to bridge the gap
between those who have access to technology and
those who have not. The investment has been incredibly
important for Argentina.”
“It can be very useful if teachers can use them correctly
and to improve learning.”
“What I have learnt from some colleagues is that both
programs are working really well. They have become an
innovative and more attractive source for students to
learn their subjects.”
Prof. Liliana Simón

28. “I think it's very useful and it helps students connect with technology and different
varieties of classwork. The problem with the laptops is that most of the children do
not know how to use them. They barely touch any of the Office tools because
they haven't acquired the habit to do so, and it's become very frustrating to see
them playing "counter stricke" with their classmates, completely unaware you've
just entered the classroom. When I first heard about this program I remember I
thought "Great! Technology has reached the classroom!", but unfortunately, we
seem to be experiencing a very long-term process ahead of us. On the bright
side, I see students bonding with the laptop, which builds some sense of curiosity
in them. It's been almost three years now, so I imagine it's just a matter of time for
students to start realising how important is a tool such as a computer for them,
and how empowering it can make them.”Prof. Liliana Simón
