Robert Louis Balfour Stevenson was a Scottish novelist, poet, essayist, and travel writer. His most famous works are Treasure Island, Kidnapped, and Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.

 The
full name of Robert Louis Stevenson
was Robert Louis Balfour Stevenson. He
was born at 13 November 1850 in
Edinburg state of Scotland.
 He was a Scottish novelist, poet, essayist,
and travel writer.

4. Stevenson went to Mr. Henderson's school in
India Street, Edinburgh in September 1857
for his early education but because of poor
health stayed only a few weeks. During his
many absences He was taught by private
tutors.
 In October 1861 He went to Edinburgh
Academy, an independent school for boys,
and stayed there sporadically for about
fifteen months.


5. In October 1864, following an improvement to
his health, He was sent to Robert Thomson's
private school in Frederick Street, Edinburgh,
where He remained until He went to
University.
 In November 1867, Stevenson entered the
University of Edinburgh to study engineering.
And then he studied law. He passed the
Scottish bar in 1875.
 In 1863 He spent one term at an English
boarding school at Spring Grove in Isleworthin
Middlesex.


Robert Louis Stevenson is not only remarkable
for the number of works
He produced in his twenty-year literary career,
but also for the range of genres he adopted:
essays, travel writing, short stories, novels and
romances, as well as poetry, plays and biography.
Stevenson also composed music for the
flageolet. Within these genres, too, his output is
remarkable for what Henry James calls his
"constant variety of experiment".
