                                         Networking – The Evolution

Online vs Offline –

Networking is one of the most crucial elements of starting or expanding your business. Thanks to the many
instant communication methods available online today, it is no longer necessary to rely solely on seminars or
other live events to meet fellow marketers. It is now possible to make your contacts from home via your PC.

Of course live events are a great resource, but they do have their disadvantages. Here are 5 of the biggest
reasons I feel that networking online is a better choice:

   • Cost – A live seminar can cost anywhere from $20 to $2995 (not including food, lodging, and
transportation costs), whereas all of the online methods listed in this report range from free to $19.97
     (with no additional expenses).

   • Travel – While live events are hosted all over the world, there is sure to be at least some travel involved
to attend even the closest one. Networking online can of course be done anywhere your laptop takes
     you.

   • Time – When attending a live event, it is expected that a minimum of one entire day be devoted to it.
However, networking online can be accomplished as quickly as replying to a message in a forum.

   • Convenience – While at a live event, all of the materials needed may not be easily accessible at the
time, but online, all of the needed materials will likely be located on the computer from which you’re
     networking.

   • Comfort – When I attended the Focus Marketing seminar in Washington DC in 2007, the attire ranged
from business-casual to suit-and-tie. Networking online can be done in any attire, even in the nude –
just make sure that your webcam isn’t turned on!

                                                      3/15
Page 4

                                           Networking – The Evolution

Conclusion? Use them Both –

While networking online has many advantages, it should not take the place of attending live events and
meeting fellow marketers face-to-face. It should instead, be used in addition to live networking. Both methods
are beneficial individually, but they’re even more valuable when used together.

As I mentioned, I attended the Focus Marketing Internet Marketing Main Event in Washington DC this year,
and it was incredible. I met so many people that I am either currently doing business with, or hope to do
business with in the future. I learned many new things, got some new ideas, and made a few new contacts.

I would highly recommend going to one of these events if you ever have the opportunity. Learn more about
Focus Marketing Seminars Here.

Where to Network:

Now that I have discussed the advantages of networking online, I’d like to explain some of the different
methods available to help you connect with other marketers. There are eight specific programs that I want to
tell you about. Chances are, that you won't use all of them, and that's fine. Just choose the programs that
suit you best. It's important to note that this list isn't all inclusive. There are many more programs available
for networking, but I have chosen to discuss these eight for now. If there is a program that you feel really
needs to be on this list, contact me from the NTE member's area. I will review all suggestions, and possibly
include them in future versions.

It's important to understand, that most of these programs are continually evolving. If you tried one of these
resources before, and didn't like it consider giving it another try. Maybe you attended only one Affiliate
Funnel conference, and they talked about Safelists which is of no interest to you. Understand that is just one
of the things discussed there. None of these programs are 100% committed to a single topic or theme.
Additionally, to really make these programs work for you, you have to use them regularly. Odds are you won't
see drastic changes in your business after just one session, but over time I guarantee that you will pick up
tons of tips and tricks that help your business evolve into what you want it to be.

For each of the programs listed, I will try to give you the following information: Who owns it; how much it
costs; a brief description of it; industry experts that you might meet there; sample topics that are being
discussed there; my personal comments; how I use the it; and a testimonial from someone who learned
something that changed the way they did business, met a new partner, or found the "golden nugget" that
helped their business take off.

One last thing I want to point out. I will be using many links in the descriptions of these programs. Some
are affiliate links, some are not. The purpose of this is not just to jam as many affiliate programs into this
book as possible, but so that you can learn more about the people I discuss, and the programs they own.
These people are Internet Marketing professionals, and by linking to their sites, I hope to show those who
don't know them, why I consider them to be important assets. So if you see a name you don't know, or a
program you've never heard of, go ahead and click the link. You may find a great new resource!

#1 Affiliate Funnel - Free To Join

Affiliate Funnel is owned by a true power trio in the Traffic Exchange industry. If you don't think these guys
can help you, then look at their accomplishments, and think again! Paul Kinder is also the owner of
Traffic-Splash , which consistently places in the top 3 amongst TE ranking services. In just under 2 years,
Paul took this exchange from 1548 to over 41,000 members. Even if you somehow don't know who Jon
Olson is, you're surely familiar with some of his sites like I Love Hits , which has recently surpassed 100,000
members! Tim Rash is the owner of Fast Easy Traffic. Tim is an expert programmer who takes care of all
the "techy stuff" at Traffic-Splash, Fast Easy Traffic , and Affiliate Funnel.

Affiliate Funnel is not only a great downline builder, but also a true place to meet with fellow marketers. AF
features both a forum and a conference room, as well as a downline mailer, and a page to recommend up to
6 programs to your referrals.

There is a regularly scheduled training session every Saturday in the conference room. In addition to the
weekly meeting, there is a newcomers' course hosted by Jon Olson on Mondays, and workshops on
Tuesdays hosted by Jerry Reeder. Jerry Reeder is a fulltime copywriter and marketer. Jerry is the author of "
Zen and the Art of Making Money with Traffic Exchanges", and the owner of ListMarketingTips.com.

The conference room is very easy to download and use, and the wealth of experience and knowledge in
the room every week is incredible. Once the meetings are over, the professional marketers hang out and
discuss “News, Gossip, and Scandal”. This is a great time to learn some new tricks, as well as get to know
the folks who do this full time.

Recent seminars included "Get Your Emails Read" by Jerry Reeder, "The Power of Giveaway Events by
Mike Paetzold", and "The King of Safelists" with Soren Jordansen.

                                                       5/15
Page 6

                                           Networking – The Evolution

Mike Paetzold is an expert at both blogging, and giveaway sites. Mike is the creator of the free blog sytem
My CC Blog, and the author of the "The Easy Giveaway Plan", as well as the owner/author/creator of many
more sites. Soren Jordansen has alot of accomplishments under his belt. He is the author of the "Internet
Marketing Success Formula" and the "Ultimate Safelist Survival Guide", plus he is the owner or co-owner of
four more popular membership sites.

I use Affiliate Funnel for two main reasons:

   • To spend time with the professionals. I have already found alot more success just from having these
people know my name and recognize my face. I also have greatly benefitted from the answers and
suggestions I have gotten from the pros.

   • To build my list. AF has 13 squeeze pages available to you where you just insert your autoresponder
code and start collecting subscribers. Then, they even give you the email series to send to your new
     subscribers.

Testimonial - Here is my personal story about AF:

When I found Affiliate Funnel, I was considering giving up on the whole idea of earning online. Fortunately
for me, I met and got to know Paul Kinder. Paul was generous enough to spend some time with me
one-on-one. We discussed my current business situation and future goals.

Following Paul’s recommendations, I began making changes to the way I was doing business. Almost
immediately, I began noticing results. I started adding subscribers to my list, growing my downlines in
traffic-generating programs, and seeing my affiliate commissions increase.

If not for the help I received through Affiliate Funnel, I would not be writing this today.

#2 S.W.A.T Traffic – Free To Join, Upgrade costs $19.97/month

SWAT Traffic is owned by the "TE Guy" Jon Olson. Jon also co-owns Click Crazey and and TELaunch
Formula with Robert Puddy.

SWAT’s primary function is as a traffic exchange. So why did I include it here? I included SWAT for one
reason - the SWAT Conference room! The SWAT room is exclusive to upgraded Captain Members of SWAT
Traffic. Although SWAT is a traffic exchange, many internet marketing concepts are discussed in the SWAT
room on a regular basis.

What makes the SWAT room so special? The reason it’s such a great place to be is the same reason that
it costs almost $20 a month: because the people who use it are serious business professionals. You never
have to worry about getting bad information or being slammed with spam. The people who use the SWAT
room are all professionals, and they are there to enhance their business through networking. The SWAT
Room allows you to meet many very well-established experts in traffic generation and conversion. The best
part is that most of them are willing to share their secrets freely.

Most days, you can find top marketers just "hanging out" in the swat room. Just to name a few, SWAT
regulars include Paul Kinder, Soren Jordansen, Tim Linden who not only owns, but built StartXchange, and
TEtoolbox, Mike Paetzold, Solomon Huey of EliteSafelist, and Fast Action Ads, and Robert Puddy (much
more about him shortly).

Some of the most commonly discussed topics at SWAT include Listbuilding, Branding, Loyalty. SWAT isn't
just about going and listening to a professional marketer talk. It's a place where most of the time you can get
alot of special attention. People usually take turns asking questions or getting suggestions on their websites
and advertisng campaigns. Sometimes you can super deals from other owners that are exclusive to just
those in the room. Recently I saved over a $100 on a 10,000 credit purchase at a top TE, just because I was
in the SWAT room when an owner made that offer. Pretty cool huh? Just those savings alone paid for 5
months of SWAT upgrades.

Testimonial - Here's a story from Sunny Suggs about SWAT:

Once in SWAT, Robert Puddy said somebody needed to write an ebook about how to use noscripts
properly. He even said that if somebody would write the ebook, he'd promote it. I had it to him in 24 hours. He
said "Sunny, I didn't WANT it. I wanted you to build your list with it”.

Then, he read it and said it was good. After that, he said for me to write a series of ebooks about ALL the
addons, and how they affect internet marketers. Make it re-brandable, and put it in a membership site script.
He said he'd donate the script and offer videos for the upgraded members. Then, he'd promote that to his
lists. That is how “All About Addons” was born.

# 3 Net Marketing Forum - Free To Join

NMF is owned and operated by Jon Olson. In addition to all of Jon's accomplishments that I previously
mentioned, he is the author of the "Hit Exchange News", the "Pizza Plan", and the best selling book about
traffic exchanges "Hits, Clicks, and Misses".

Net Marketing Forum is THE place to be for anyone involved or interested in the Traffic Exchange and
Safelist Industry. NMF is a regular hangout for tons of TE and Safelist owners, as well as Top Affiliates, and
marketers from other niches.

NMF has one section completely devoted to Traffic Exchanges. Roughly 30 Different TE's have their own
area here where members are welcome to discuss all things related to that exchange. Have a question or
idea for your favorite TE, why not drop into their area at NMF and make it a public discussion.

Other items of note are: a Computer Support section, a Q&A section for TE owners, and "The Gauntlet".
The gauntlet is a place where you can post your website, splash page, etc. and get feedback on it. While I
have never personally used the gauntlet at NMF, I have used it elsewhere, and can tell you that it's The Best
way to make sure that your page is good. You will get all kinds of advice, that can help you transform your
page from something that looks very cheap, to one that looks professional and converts well.

To me NMF is one of those places that I always regret not spending more time at. The resources available
at NMF are outstanding. You can easily access many full time marketers such as Jon Atwood, Robert
Puddy, and Ryan Hogan.

Robert is the author of "How To Write Your Own Lead Pulling Squeeze Page" and will be discussed in
more detail later. Jon Atwood owns AdTactics Safelist, and ZootHost which has become the hosting of
choice for many TE owners. Ryan is the owner of Resale Rocket, which gives members access to the latest
resale products. Ryan also owns the traffic exchange TrafficPunk.

If you have a any type of question about marketing, I guarantee that you will be able to get an answer at
NMF. The best part, is that your questions will be anwered by people who know from experience.

Testimonial - Here's what David Foley had to say about NMF:

I was able to make contacts with people that helped me achieve my success as a traffic exchange owner. I
found everybody and everything I needed in one place. From my designers to programmers to associates.
Imagine that!

Within several months of paying close attention and making these contacts I was able to create Traffic
Taxis. My list building went from 0 to over 300 a week in less than 2 months time. Not only am I now making
income online, but I will never work for someone else ever again. That's why in this industry you will hear the
repeating phrase. Network, network, network!

Get yourself into forums and get yourself out on front of the people who know the business. Ask questions.
Get answers. Make money!

#4 Forum Know How- $10/year

Robert Puddy is the creator of Forum Know How. He has been online since 2000, and now makes a 6
figure income from his numerous business ventures. Robert boasts a very impressive list of programs
including: Instant Squeeze Page Generator, Advertising Know How, Hits Connect, and Launch Formula
Marketing. Additionally, he is the brains behind Super Surf.

Forum Know How is a professional forum. The $10 membership fee is to help ensure that everyone using
the forum is serious about their business. There is a panel of eight "resident experts" who act as the forum
moderaters. All of them are professional marketers, and each of them has a specific specialty. Five of these
experts have already been mentioned in this book. The remaining three are: Ross Goldberg, Chris Houg,
and John Taylor. Ross specializes in Web 2.0 and Search Engine Optimization. He is the authour of "SEO
Diamond" and the "Traffic Manifesto 2.0". Chris Houg is the owner of LotsMoreHits and LotsMoreHosting.
He is the resident Tech Expert at FKH. John Taylor is a niche market Guru. He also specializes in tracking
and testing. John is the author of "Hot Niche Topics Uncovered" and "Testing and Tracking".

With just under 2800 members, FKH is not nearly active as alot of others. However, I'm including it
because it still has great value. The real benefit of FKH actually comes in-part from it's size. The forum is not
cluttered with all sorts of different topics, and duplicate threads. If you have a specific question, you will
easily be able to find the answer to it, or the right place to ask it.

I use FKH when I have a technical question. Usually, I don't even have to ask. I just look around briefly,
and often find the answer to my question. I used Forum Know How quite a bit while setting up the website
that powers this eBook. I was able to find the answer to every quesion that I had.

Testimonial - Here is Monika Mundell's FKH testimonial:

Having been an active forum member of at least 5 forums over the last 3 years, I realized upon seeing
Robert Puddy's Forum Know How, that I was onto a winner.

The value of being able to tap into the brains of the internet marketing giants is priceless. For the ridiculous
cost to join, I already got more than enough value back within the first two days.

Where else would we get the chance of conversing one on one with those who earn already a fortune on
the internet, but are willing to help us with their valuable time?

The Forum Know How gives us tools to succeed and become those who are in the know.

#5 Conquer Your Niche – Free

CYN is owned by Russell Brunson. In his first year online Russell made $800,000, and is a now a seven
figure earner. He owns and operates DotComSecrets, which is an umbrella company for his numerous
products and services including Affiliate Evolution.

The CYN forum brings together over 43,000 online marketers in one spot. You will be able to network with
copywriters, online and offline marketers, traffic generators, graphic and website designers, and
programmers, all in one place.

CYN also gives you free advertising just for being active. Every time you read a thread or make a post, you
will earn credits which can be redeemed for on-site advertisements. You even earn credits from your referrals
5 levels deep.

There is one section in the forum where you can post special offers that are exclusive to CYN members.
The requirement to list in this category is that your offer must be exclusive to CYN members. So you know
that means you'll be getting some great deals. For example, a recent post was from a program owner offering
completely free ad credits at his site to all CYN members.

Testimonial - None yet. Join the program, start networking, and maybe soon your success story can be
here.

#6 Traffic Bunnies Connect – Free

TB Connect is owned by Cindy Battye. Cindy also owns and operates Daily Niche Idea, which is a free
service that delivers a new niche suggestion to your email every day. Even though TB Connect is still very
new, I'm including it here because I think that it has immense potential.

It is basically a cross between Twitter and the Traffic Bunnies Traffic Exchange. This is a very beneficial
combination of the two different types of programs. It makes it much easier to both bring Surfers who may
never have considered using Twitter to your messages; and bring the people who already chat with you, but
may have never considered using a traffic exchange into your Traffic Bunnies downline.

One of the best parts about TB Connect is you can use it while surfing the Traffic Bunnies exchange. So,
you can earn traffic, and network at the same time.

Testimonial - Here are Rose Enderud's comments about TB Connect:

I have been a member of Traffic Bunnies a short time. I am really enjoying the site. I have met some great
people in the chat room. It sure takes the boredom away from surfing for credits.

Cindy does some great promotions with some nice prizes. I recently won a lifetime pro upgrade to Affiliate
Funnel in a promotion and $10 just for being in the chat room during the promotion when Cindy dropped in.

#7 Traffic Era – Free To Join

Traffic Era is part of the Logiscape Technologies group, which also includes Hitpulse, Traffic Pods, and TS25

Traffic is just one aspect of online marketing. The other is branding yourself. At Traffic Era, you have your
own space to promote yourself and your site. You can even blog right on your profile page. Era also gives
you the chance to interact with other marketers and learn how people that are making money online are
doing it.

Traffic Era also has a team function. Joining a team is beneficial in two ways. First, you can earn extra
traffic by winning competitions. Second, and possibly most important, you have an incredible opportunity to
bond with your teammates. Each team has its own secure chat box, so you can be instantly connected to the
other members of your team.

There is also a section similar to Facebook where you will be updated on the status changes of your
contacts. The updates are very basic, such as "john joined the group logisurf". Because they are so basic,
you may think that they're worthless, but they're actually quite valuable. Every time you do something on Era,
your status change will be posted to all of your contacts. This gives them a chance to click on your name,
and be taken back to your profile where you have links to your sites. This is web 2.0 traffic in it's simplest
form.

You can meet all kinds of people with all sorts of interests and specialties on Era. To make the most of of
your networking efforts on Era you need to do two things. First you need to join a team as mentioned above.
Second, start making contacts. Don't just add every single member you can, but try to find ones with similar
interests so you can make strong connections. Third, join some groups. At the time this was written, there
were over 1330 groups on Traffic Era. These groups work similarly to a forum. There are all kinds of topics
being discussed in the groups. Some of the subjects being discussed inlud MLM programs, Traffic
Exchanges, Blogging, Animal Lovers, and Computer Tech Support, just to name a handful.

Testimonial - Here are Marci Jones' thoughts on Era:

Traffic Era has helped me grow my business by giving me the opportunity to talk to my teammates while I'm
surfing. So not only have I been able to make many new contacts, I've also been able to mentor them as well.

As new people join my team, they invariably get caught up in the ongoing mentoring that I provide to the
rest of team. This has helped me build a well-informed and focused group of people within my site as well.
As we work as a team at TrafficEra, we learn how to work together for other common goals.

So TrafficEra has best helped my site by allowing me to have a classroom where I can help my fellow
marketers understand and implement successful marketing techniques better than one on one training. This
allows me to reach out to more people at the same time and saves me time in the process! I love TrafficEra
and what it's done for my site!

#8 Twitter – Free To Join

Twitter is an online service that enables you to broadcast short messages to your friends or "followers." It
also lets you specify which Twitter users you want to follow so you can read their messages in one place. It
is designed to work on a mobile phone as well as on a computer. All Twitter messages are limited to 140
characters, so each message can be sent as a single SMS alert.

I love Twitter because it enables fellow marketers to be instantly connected to one another. It helps you
stay informed on new projects that others are working on, as well as keeping them up-to-date on yours. You
can ask questions and receive instant answers. Twitter is kind of a free-for-all. The other big benefit of
Twitter is all of the free traffic you can get. Now I don't mean to start posting advetisements though. There is
a more proper way to get traffic from Twitter, and it's a three pronged approach.

One, start following people, and building your followers. Find people who are friends of yours, check out
your friends' contacts, or search for people with similar interests. Then, just click on the pictures, check out
their profiles, and the decide if you want to follow them. As you follow more people, you will also gain more
followers.

Two, show your personality, or offer something of value. If you want to pick up new followers rapidly, you
will need to give them a reason to follow you. Maybe you're witty, maybe techy, maybe a great cook, etc.
Use these qualities to your advantage. Make people want to get your updates. If you don't think you have
any qualities that would transfer over easily, then offer people something of value or interest. You could post
sports commentary, your thoughts about current news, you could link to humorous sites and stories, etc.
There is no hard and fast rule about getting people to follow you. Don't be afraid to find different things.
When you do find the right approach, you will be amazed at how fast your followers start adding up. When I
made a change to the way I used my Twitter account, my followers went from 102 to 149 in just 3 days.

Three, never blatantly advertise using Twitter. This is a sure-fire way to make people stop following you.
The best way to advertise is passively. There are two programs I use that allow me to do this. The first is
AWeber. AWeber is an autoreponder service with a really neat feature. Any time you mail your list, you can
choose to have AWeber automatically post it to your Twitter acount. Your new tweet will show the subject of
your email, and include a link to a copy of your email message. The second resource I use to generate
Twitter traffic is Tweet My Blog. This wordpress plugin will automatically "ping" your Twitter account every
time you post on your blog. Your new tweet will automatically contain a link back to your blog post,
potentially driving massive amounts of traffic to your blog.

Testimonial - Here is why Jerry Iannucci likes Twitter:

Twitter has been a great tool for branding myself within the internet marketing community. It gets my name
and face in front of the right people on a daily basis and hopefully lets them get to know me on a more
personal basis.

I am also getting a lot of use out of programs such as "Tweet My Blog", which automatically posts to
Twitter, telling people what I am doing online. This allows me to keep working while staying on the radar.

                                         Networking – The Evolution

Some tips on how to get the most out of your networking experiences -

   • Ask Questions – There is absolutely nothing wrong with sounding like a newbie. Everyone was new at
one point. Asking questions is how you learn faster than your competition. While others are struggling
from trial and error, you can benefit from the advice of those who have already “been there and done
     that”.

   • Add to the Discussion – Don’t be afraid to speak up. Even if you are the least experienced person in
the room, you still probably have something of value to add to the conversation. If you have an opinion,
don’t be afraid to share it.

   • Use the Signature – If you are actively posting to forums, you need to be using the signature file. This
is a snippet of text that is automatically appended to each post you make. You should use this space to
include your name and the link to your primary business.

   • Update Your Profile - Most forums allow you to update the profile page that people see when they
click on your name or picture. You should use your real name and picture to help build trust and brand
     yourself; your age, location, and interests, so others see you as a real person, and can relate to you;
and your contact information such as email address and instant messenger so people can reach you
when you’re not in the forum.

   • Don’t Spam – There may be opportunities for you to post affiliate links while using these services, but
usually you should avoid it. People do not go to forums or chat rooms to be advertised to, and if you are
constantly posting advertisements, you will soon become unwelcome. You may even be banned for
such activity. Make sure that you familiarize yourself with the rules of each service before you start
     posting.

   • Use your Strengths – If there is a subject that you are particularly knowledgeable about, find people
discussing it, and add your expertise. This will help build your credibility in the community.

   • Listen to the Pros - These people are already making a full-time income online, so they are obviously
doing things right. If they make a suggestion, you should listen to it. While there is no guarantee that
what worked for them will work for you, knowing the methods they used greatly increases your chance
     of success.

                                                    13/15

                                           Networking – The Evolution

Joint Venture Tips:

Don’t expect a professional marketer to want a Joint Venture partnership on the first day. If you want to
work with a program owner, there are a few things you’d better do before asking them to partner with you.

   • Join Their Program - This is just a simple courtesy. Before you expect them to do something for you,
you had better do something for them. This may sound like an obvious suggestion, but I have
     overlooked it myself.

   • Buy Their Products - This goes along with the idea that you have to give to receive, but it also goes a
step further by showing the owner that you are serious about your marketing.

   • Be a Good Affiliate - Same concept again. This also shows them that you are business savvy. What
better way to prove that you would make a good business partner, than demonstrating your ability to
     bring in new customers.

   • Offer FREE Help – A wonderful way to build a working relationship is to show the owner how much you
can help them. By helping them with their own program, they will see how beneficial having you as a
partner could be. The best part is that if you offer to do it for free, you will quickly build a relationship,
and be seen as a real asset to any business.

One Last Note –

By now you should be ready to jump into the exciting world of online networking, but before you do, I have
one last piece of advice. You need to realize that while you are networking, you can also be driving massive
amounts of traffic to your website.

If you’re interested in obtaining the most benefit from your time in forums, then you need to check out Cindy
Battye’s Forum Traffic Gold. This 47 page ebook is jam-packed with tips and tricks to help you maximize
your forum results.

Cindy has detailed every step needed to ensure a constant supply of hungry visitors from forums, and she's
giving her detailed plan, including screenshots and useful research links, along with a complete guide and
some extremely useful advice.

                                                      14/15
Page 15

                                          Networking – The Evolution

Don’t be mislead by the word ebook, because it's really WAY more than that. It starts with the ebook, but
you also get access to:

   • Three pieces of amazing time saving software built to help you skip the frustrating bits of forum
marketing and be able to spend the time on the productive and fun bits!

   • Video Tutorials for those of you who like a more 'hands on' approach. Cindy will walk you through the
processes of using the software, as well as a couple of tutorials that will allow you to make use of some
other hidden gems that she has discovered online.

   • Private access into the members-only forum about forums. If you want to get your questions answered
by people who know forums inside and out, then this is the place. You can request video tutorials here
too, if there are some issues that you just can't seem to visualize. There is a section for most of the
common forum scripts, so that you are not just getting generic answers, but practical solutions with
     hands-on help.

   • One of the best parts of this forum is that it has an area where all members can contribute and build on
the list of niche-specific forums, making it even easier to find forums that are guaranteed to bring
     amazing results.

Armed with the knowledge and tools that Forum Traffic Gold provides, you will be able to generate traffic to
your website while chatting with fellow marketers. This is a win-win situation.

Closing –

I sincerely hope that you will take advantage of the great resources, as well as the tips that I’ve provided.
Maybe some day you and I will be talking about our next big project, but it’s not going to happen unless you
get out there and start networking.

I would like to thank Robert Puddy for giving me the idea to create this, Sunny Suggs of BootScootin Traffic
for helping through the process of writing my first ebook, Michael Kelly of RoyalSurf for the one-on-one time
he spent with me helping me fine tune it, Jamison Raymond of BlackHatGraphics for all of the help with my
graphics, and David Foley of Reactive Adz for all of the miscellaneous things he helped me with. Without all
of you, I would have probably never created this eBook.

About The Author: I have been working online part-time since 2007. This is the biggest project I have
worked on thus far, and I owe it all to many of the people mentioned above in the “Users Include” sections. A
sincere thank you goes out to ALL of those who have helped me. You know who you are.

  • 3. Page 3 Networking – The Evolution Online vs Offline – Networking is one of the most crucial elements of starting or expanding your business. Thanks to the many instant communication methods available online today, it is no longer necessary to rely solely on seminars or other live events to meet fellow marketers. It is now possible to make your contacts from home via your PC. Of course live events are a great resource, but they do have their disadvantages. Here are 5 of the biggest reasons I feel that networking online is a better choice: • Cost – A live seminar can cost anywhere from $20 to $2995 (not including food, lodging, and transportation costs), whereas all of the online methods listed in this report range from free to $19.97 (with no additional expenses). • Travel – While live events are hosted all over the world, there is sure to be at least some travel involved to attend even the closest one. Networking online can of course be done anywhere your laptop takes you. • Time – When attending a live event, it is expected that a minimum of one entire day be devoted to it. However, networking online can be accomplished as quickly as replying to a message in a forum. • Convenience – While at a live event, all of the materials needed may not be easily accessible at the time, but online, all of the needed materials will likely be located on the computer from which you’re networking. • Comfort – When I attended the Focus Marketing seminar in Washington DC in 2007, the attire ranged from business-casual to suit-and-tie. Networking online can be done in any attire, even in the nude – just make sure that your webcam isn’t turned on! 3/15
  • 4. Page 4 Networking – The Evolution Conclusion? Use them Both – While networking online has many advantages, it should not take the place of attending live events and meeting fellow marketers face-to-face. It should instead, be used in addition to live networking. Both methods are beneficial individually, but they’re even more valuable when used together. As I mentioned, I attended the Focus Marketing Internet Marketing Main Event in Washington DC this year, and it was incredible. I met so many people that I am either currently doing business with, or hope to do business with in the future. I learned many new things, got some new ideas, and made a few new contacts. I would highly recommend going to one of these events if you ever have the opportunity. Learn more about Focus Marketing Seminars Here. Where to Network: Now that I have discussed the advantages of networking online, I’d like to explain some of the different methods available to help you connect with other marketers. There are eight specific programs that I want to tell you about. Chances are, that you won't use all of them, and that's fine. Just choose the programs that suit you best. It's important to note that this list isn't all inclusive. There are many more programs available for networking, but I have chosen to discuss these eight for now. If there is a program that you feel really needs to be on this list, contact me from the NTE member's area. I will review all suggestions, and possibly include them in future versions. It's important to understand, that most of these programs are continually evolving. If you tried one of these resources before, and didn't like it consider giving it another try. Maybe you attended only one Affiliate Funnel conference, and they talked about Safelists which is of no interest to you. Understand that is just one of the things discussed there. None of these programs are 100% committed to a single topic or theme. Additionally, to really make these programs work for you, you have to use them regularly. Odds are you won't see drastic changes in your business after just one session, but over time I guarantee that you will pick up tons of tips and tricks that help your business evolve into what you want it to be. For each of the programs listed, I will try to give you the following information: Who owns it; how much it costs; a brief description of it; industry experts that you might meet there; sample topics that are being discussed there; my personal comments; how I use the it; and a testimonial from someone who learned something that changed the way they did business, met a new partner, or found the "golden nugget" that helped their business take off. One last thing I want to point out. I will be using many links in the descriptions of these programs. Some are affiliate links, some are not. The purpose of this is not just to jam as many affiliate programs into this book as possible, but so that you can learn more about the people I discuss, and the programs they own. These people are Internet Marketing professionals, and by linking to their sites, I hope to show those who don't know them, why I consider them to be important assets. So if you see a name you don't know, or a program you've never heard of, go ahead and click the link. You may find a great new resource! 4/15
  • 5. Page 5 Networking – The Evolution #1 Affiliate Funnel - Free To Join Affiliate Funnel is owned by a true power trio in the Traffic Exchange industry. If you don't think these guys can help you, then look at their accomplishments, and think again! Paul Kinder is also the owner of Traffic-Splash , which consistently places in the top 3 amongst TE ranking services. In just under 2 years, Paul took this exchange from 1548 to over 41,000 members. Even if you somehow don't know who Jon Olson is, you're surely familiar with some of his sites like I Love Hits , which has recently surpassed 100,000 members! Tim Rash is the owner of Fast Easy Traffic. Tim is an expert programmer who takes care of all the "techy stuff" at Traffic-Splash, Fast Easy Traffic , and Affiliate Funnel. Affiliate Funnel is not only a great downline builder, but also a true place to meet with fellow marketers. AF features both a forum and a conference room, as well as a downline mailer, and a page to recommend up to 6 programs to your referrals. There is a regularly scheduled training session every Saturday in the conference room. In addition to the weekly meeting, there is a newcomers' course hosted by Jon Olson on Mondays, and workshops on Tuesdays hosted by Jerry Reeder. Jerry Reeder is a fulltime copywriter and marketer. Jerry is the author of " Zen and the Art of Making Money with Traffic Exchanges", and the owner of ListMarketingTips.com. The conference room is very easy to download and use, and the wealth of experience and knowledge in the room every week is incredible. Once the meetings are over, the professional marketers hang out and discuss “News, Gossip, and Scandal”. This is a great time to learn some new tricks, as well as get to know the folks who do this full time. Recent seminars included "Get Your Emails Read" by Jerry Reeder, "The Power of Giveaway Events by Mike Paetzold", and "The King of Safelists" with Soren Jordansen. 5/15
  • 6. Page 6 Networking – The Evolution Mike Paetzold is an expert at both blogging, and giveaway sites. Mike is the creator of the free blog sytem My CC Blog, and the author of the "The Easy Giveaway Plan", as well as the owner/author/creator of many more sites. Soren Jordansen has alot of accomplishments under his belt. He is the author of the "Internet Marketing Success Formula" and the "Ultimate Safelist Survival Guide", plus he is the owner or co-owner of four more popular membership sites. I use Affiliate Funnel for two main reasons: • To spend time with the professionals. I have already found alot more success just from having these people know my name and recognize my face. I also have greatly benefitted from the answers and suggestions I have gotten from the pros. • To build my list. AF has 13 squeeze pages available to you where you just insert your autoresponder code and start collecting subscribers. Then, they even give you the email series to send to your new subscribers. Testimonial - Here is my personal story about AF: When I found Affiliate Funnel, I was considering giving up on the whole idea of earning online. Fortunately for me, I met and got to know Paul Kinder. Paul was generous enough to spend some time with me one-on-one. We discussed my current business situation and future goals. Following Paul’s recommendations, I began making changes to the way I was doing business. Almost immediately, I began noticing results. I started adding subscribers to my list, growing my downlines in traffic-generating programs, and seeing my affiliate commissions increase. If not for the help I received through Affiliate Funnel, I would not be writing this today. Travis Millward http://www.traviskmillward.com 6/15
  • 7. Page 7 Networking – The Evolution #2 S.W.A.T Traffic – Free To Join, Upgrade costs $19.97/month SWAT Traffic is owned by the "TE Guy" Jon Olson. Jon also co-owns Click Crazey and and TELaunch Formula with Robert Puddy. SWAT’s primary function is as a traffic exchange. So why did I include it here? I included SWAT for one reason - the SWAT Conference room! The SWAT room is exclusive to upgraded Captain Members of SWAT Traffic. Although SWAT is a traffic exchange, many internet marketing concepts are discussed in the SWAT room on a regular basis. What makes the SWAT room so special? The reason it’s such a great place to be is the same reason that it costs almost $20 a month: because the people who use it are serious business professionals. You never have to worry about getting bad information or being slammed with spam. The people who use the SWAT room are all professionals, and they are there to enhance their business through networking. The SWAT Room allows you to meet many very well-established experts in traffic generation and conversion. The best part is that most of them are willing to share their secrets freely. Most days, you can find top marketers just "hanging out" in the swat room. Just to name a few, SWAT regulars include Paul Kinder, Soren Jordansen, Tim Linden who not only owns, but built StartXchange, and TEtoolbox, Mike Paetzold, Solomon Huey of EliteSafelist, and Fast Action Ads, and Robert Puddy (much more about him shortly). Some of the most commonly discussed topics at SWAT include Listbuilding, Branding, Loyalty. SWAT isn't just about going and listening to a professional marketer talk. It's a place where most of the time you can get alot of special attention. People usually take turns asking questions or getting suggestions on their websites and advertisng campaigns. Sometimes you can super deals from other owners that are exclusive to just those in the room. Recently I saved over a $100 on a 10,000 credit purchase at a top TE, just because I was in the SWAT room when an owner made that offer. Pretty cool huh? Just those savings alone paid for 5 months of SWAT upgrades. Testimonial - Here's a story from Sunny Suggs about SWAT: Once in SWAT, Robert Puddy said somebody needed to write an ebook about how to use noscripts properly. He even said that if somebody would write the ebook, he'd promote it. I had it to him in 24 hours. He said "Sunny, I didn't WANT it. I wanted you to build your list with it”. Then, he read it and said it was good. After that, he said for me to write a series of ebooks about ALL the addons, and how they affect internet marketers. Make it re-brandable, and put it in a membership site script. He said he'd donate the script and offer videos for the upgraded members. Then, he'd promote that to his lists. That is how “All About Addons” was born. Sunny Suggs http://www.allaboutaddons.com 7/15
  • 8. Page 8 Networking – The Evolution # 3 Net Marketing Forum - Free To Join NMF is owned and operated by Jon Olson. In addition to all of Jon's accomplishments that I previously mentioned, he is the author of the "Hit Exchange News", the "Pizza Plan", and the best selling book about traffic exchanges "Hits, Clicks, and Misses". Net Marketing Forum is THE place to be for anyone involved or interested in the Traffic Exchange and Safelist Industry. NMF is a regular hangout for tons of TE and Safelist owners, as well as Top Affiliates, and marketers from other niches. NMF has one section completely devoted to Traffic Exchanges. Roughly 30 Different TE's have their own area here where members are welcome to discuss all things related to that exchange. Have a question or idea for your favorite TE, why not drop into their area at NMF and make it a public discussion. Other items of note are: a Computer Support section, a Q&A section for TE owners, and "The Gauntlet". The gauntlet is a place where you can post your website, splash page, etc. and get feedback on it. While I have never personally used the gauntlet at NMF, I have used it elsewhere, and can tell you that it's The Best way to make sure that your page is good. You will get all kinds of advice, that can help you transform your page from something that looks very cheap, to one that looks professional and converts well. To me NMF is one of those places that I always regret not spending more time at. The resources available at NMF are outstanding. You can easily access many full time marketers such as Jon Atwood, Robert Puddy, and Ryan Hogan. Robert is the author of "How To Write Your Own Lead Pulling Squeeze Page" and will be discussed in more detail later. Jon Atwood owns AdTactics Safelist, and ZootHost which has become the hosting of choice for many TE owners. Ryan is the owner of Resale Rocket, which gives members access to the latest resale products. Ryan also owns the traffic exchange TrafficPunk. If you have a any type of question about marketing, I guarantee that you will be able to get an answer at NMF. The best part, is that your questions will be anwered by people who know from experience. Testimonial - Here's what David Foley had to say about NMF: I was able to make contacts with people that helped me achieve my success as a traffic exchange owner. I found everybody and everything I needed in one place. From my designers to programmers to associates. Imagine that! Within several months of paying close attention and making these contacts I was able to create Traffic Taxis. My list building went from 0 to over 300 a week in less than 2 months time. Not only am I now making income online, but I will never work for someone else ever again. That's why in this industry you will hear the repeating phrase. Network, network, network! Get yourself into forums and get yourself out on front of the people who know the business. Ask questions. Get answers. Make money! David Foley http://www.traffictaxis.com 8/15
  • 9. Page 9 Networking – The Evolution #4 Forum Know How- $10/year Robert Puddy is the creator of Forum Know How. He has been online since 2000, and now makes a 6 figure income from his numerous business ventures. Robert boasts a very impressive list of programs including: Instant Squeeze Page Generator, Advertising Know How, Hits Connect, and Launch Formula Marketing. Additionally, he is the brains behind Super Surf. Forum Know How is a professional forum. The $10 membership fee is to help ensure that everyone using the forum is serious about their business. There is a panel of eight "resident experts" who act as the forum moderaters. All of them are professional marketers, and each of them has a specific specialty. Five of these experts have already been mentioned in this book. The remaining three are: Ross Goldberg, Chris Houg, and John Taylor. Ross specializes in Web 2.0 and Search Engine Optimization. He is the authour of "SEO Diamond" and the "Traffic Manifesto 2.0". Chris Houg is the owner of LotsMoreHits and LotsMoreHosting. He is the resident Tech Expert at FKH. John Taylor is a niche market Guru. He also specializes in tracking and testing. John is the author of "Hot Niche Topics Uncovered" and "Testing and Tracking". With just under 2800 members, FKH is not nearly active as alot of others. However, I'm including it because it still has great value. The real benefit of FKH actually comes in-part from it's size. The forum is not cluttered with all sorts of different topics, and duplicate threads. If you have a specific question, you will easily be able to find the answer to it, or the right place to ask it. I use FKH when I have a technical question. Usually, I don't even have to ask. I just look around briefly, and often find the answer to my question. I used Forum Know How quite a bit while setting up the website that powers this eBook. I was able to find the answer to every quesion that I had. Testimonial - Here is Monika Mundell's FKH testimonial: Having been an active forum member of at least 5 forums over the last 3 years, I realized upon seeing Robert Puddy's Forum Know How, that I was onto a winner. The value of being able to tap into the brains of the internet marketing giants is priceless. For the ridiculous cost to join, I already got more than enough value back within the first two days. Where else would we get the chance of conversing one on one with those who earn already a fortune on the internet, but are willing to help us with their valuable time? The Forum Know How gives us tools to succeed and become those who are in the know. Monika Mundell http://www.monikamundell.com 9/15
  • 10. Page 10 Networking – The Evolution #5 Conquer Your Niche – Free CYN is owned by Russell Brunson. In his first year online Russell made $800,000, and is a now a seven figure earner. He owns and operates DotComSecrets, which is an umbrella company for his numerous products and services including Affiliate Evolution. The CYN forum brings together over 43,000 online marketers in one spot. You will be able to network with copywriters, online and offline marketers, traffic generators, graphic and website designers, and programmers, all in one place. CYN also gives you free advertising just for being active. Every time you read a thread or make a post, you will earn credits which can be redeemed for on-site advertisements. You even earn credits from your referrals 5 levels deep. There is one section in the forum where you can post special offers that are exclusive to CYN members. The requirement to list in this category is that your offer must be exclusive to CYN members. So you know that means you'll be getting some great deals. For example, a recent post was from a program owner offering completely free ad credits at his site to all CYN members. Testimonial - None yet. Join the program, start networking, and maybe soon your success story can be here. #6 Traffic Bunnies Connect – Free TB Connect is owned by Cindy Battye. Cindy also owns and operates Daily Niche Idea, which is a free service that delivers a new niche suggestion to your email every day. Even though TB Connect is still very new, I'm including it here because I think that it has immense potential. It is basically a cross between Twitter and the Traffic Bunnies Traffic Exchange. This is a very beneficial combination of the two different types of programs. It makes it much easier to both bring Surfers who may never have considered using Twitter to your messages; and bring the people who already chat with you, but may have never considered using a traffic exchange into your Traffic Bunnies downline. One of the best parts about TB Connect is you can use it while surfing the Traffic Bunnies exchange. So, you can earn traffic, and network at the same time. Testimonial - Here are Rose Enderud's comments about TB Connect: I have been a member of Traffic Bunnies a short time. I am really enjoying the site. I have met some great people in the chat room. It sure takes the boredom away from surfing for credits. Cindy does some great promotions with some nice prizes. I recently won a lifetime pro upgrade to Affiliate Funnel in a promotion and $10 just for being in the chat room during the promotion when Cindy dropped in. • 11. Page 11 Networking – The Evolution #7 Traffic Era – Free To Join Traffic Era is part of the Logiscape Technologies group, which also includes Hitpulse, Traffic Pods, and TS25 Traffic is just one aspect of online marketing. The other is branding yourself. At Traffic Era, you have your own space to promote yourself and your site. You can even blog right on your profile page. Era also gives you the chance to interact with other marketers and learn how people that are making money online are doing it. Traffic Era also has a team function. Joining a team is beneficial in two ways. First, you can earn extra traffic by winning competitions. Second, and possibly most important, you have an incredible opportunity to bond with your teammates. Each team has its own secure chat box, so you can be instantly connected to the other members of your team. There is also a section similar to Facebook where you will be updated on the status changes of your contacts. The updates are very basic, such as "john joined the group logisurf". Because they are so basic, you may think that they're worthless, but they're actually quite valuable. Every time you do something on Era, your status change will be posted to all of your contacts. This gives them a chance to click on your name, and be taken back to your profile where you have links to your sites. This is web 2.0 traffic in it's simplest form. You can meet all kinds of people with all sorts of interests and specialties on Era. To make the most of of your networking efforts on Era you need to do two things. First you need to join a team as mentioned above. Second, start making contacts. Don't just add every single member you can, but try to find ones with similar interests so you can make strong connections. Third, join some groups. At the time this was written, there were over 1330 groups on Traffic Era. These groups work similarly to a forum. There are all kinds of topics being discussed in the groups. Some of the subjects being discussed inlud MLM programs, Traffic Exchanges, Blogging, Animal Lovers, and Computer Tech Support, just to name a handful. Testimonial - Here are Marci Jones' thoughts on Era: Traffic Era has helped me grow my business by giving me the opportunity to talk to my teammates while I'm surfing. So not only have I been able to make many new contacts, I've also been able to mentor them as well. As new people join my team, they invariably get caught up in the ongoing mentoring that I provide to the rest of team. This has helped me build a well-informed and focused group of people within my site as well. As we work as a team at TrafficEra, we learn how to work together for other common goals. So TrafficEra has best helped my site by allowing me to have a classroom where I can help my fellow marketers understand and implement successful marketing techniques better than one on one training. This allows me to reach out to more people at the same time and saves me time in the process! I love TrafficEra and what it's done for my site! Marci L. • 12. Page 12 Networking – The Evolution #8 Twitter – Free To Join Twitter is an online service that enables you to broadcast short messages to your friends or "followers." It also lets you specify which Twitter users you want to follow so you can read their messages in one place. It is designed to work on a mobile phone as well as on a computer. All Twitter messages are limited to 140 characters, so each message can be sent as a single SMS alert. I love Twitter because it enables fellow marketers to be instantly connected to one another. It helps you stay informed on new projects that others are working on, as well as keeping them up-to-date on yours. You can ask questions and receive instant answers. Twitter is kind of a free-for-all. The other big benefit of Twitter is all of the free traffic you can get. Now I don't mean to start posting advetisements though. There is a more proper way to get traffic from Twitter, and it's a three pronged approach. One, start following people, and building your followers. Find people who are friends of yours, check out your friends' contacts, or search for people with similar interests. Then, just click on the pictures, check out their profiles, and the decide if you want to follow them. As you follow more people, you will also gain more followers. Two, show your personality, or offer something of value. If you want to pick up new followers rapidly, you will need to give them a reason to follow you. Maybe you're witty, maybe techy, maybe a great cook, etc. Use these qualities to your advantage. Make people want to get your updates. If you don't think you have any qualities that would transfer over easily, then offer people something of value or interest. You could post sports commentary, your thoughts about current news, you could link to humorous sites and stories, etc. There is no hard and fast rule about getting people to follow you. Don't be afraid to find different things. When you do find the right approach, you will be amazed at how fast your followers start adding up. When I made a change to the way I used my Twitter account, my followers went from 102 to 149 in just 3 days. Three, never blatantly advertise using Twitter. This is a sure-fire way to make people stop following you. The best way to advertise is passively. There are two programs I use that allow me to do this. The first is AWeber. AWeber is an autoreponder service with a really neat feature. Any time you mail your list, you can choose to have AWeber automatically post it to your Twitter acount. Your new tweet will show the subject of your email, and include a link to a copy of your email message. The second resource I use to generate Twitter traffic is Tweet My Blog. This wordpress plugin will automatically "ping" your Twitter account every time you post on your blog. Your new tweet will automatically contain a link back to your blog post, potentially driving massive amounts of traffic to your blog. Testimonial - Here is why Jerry Iannucci likes Twitter: Twitter has been a great tool for branding myself within the internet marketing community. It gets my name and face in front of the right people on a daily basis and hopefully lets them get to know me on a more personal basis. I am also getting a lot of use out of programs such as "Tweet My Blog", which automatically posts to Twitter, telling people what I am doing online. This allows me to keep working while staying on the radar. Jerry Iannucci http://www.GetRichWithJerry.com 12/15
  • 13. Page 13 Networking – The Evolution Some tips on how to get the most out of your networking experiences - • Ask Questions – There is absolutely nothing wrong with sounding like a newbie. Everyone was new at one point. Asking questions is how you learn faster than your competition. While others are struggling from trial and error, you can benefit from the advice of those who have already “been there and done that”. • Add to the Discussion – Don’t be afraid to speak up. Even if you are the least experienced person in the room, you still probably have something of value to add to the conversation. If you have an opinion, don’t be afraid to share it. • Use the Signature – If you are actively posting to forums, you need to be using the signature file. This is a snippet of text that is automatically appended to each post you make. You should use this space to include your name and the link to your primary business. • Update Your Profile - Most forums allow you to update the profile page that people see when they click on your name or picture. You should use your real name and picture to help build trust and brand yourself; your age, location, and interests, so others see you as a real person, and can relate to you; and your contact information such as email address and instant messenger so people can reach you when you’re not in the forum. • Don’t Spam – There may be opportunities for you to post affiliate links while using these services, but usually you should avoid it. People do not go to forums or chat rooms to be advertised to, and if you are constantly posting advertisements, you will soon become unwelcome. You may even be banned for such activity. Make sure that you familiarize yourself with the rules of each service before you start posting. • Use your Strengths – If there is a subject that you are particularly knowledgeable about, find people discussing it, and add your expertise. This will help build your credibility in the community. • Listen to the Pros - These people are already making a full-time income online, so they are obviously doing things right. If they make a suggestion, you should listen to it. While there is no guarantee that what worked for them will work for you, knowing the methods they used greatly increases your chance of success. 13/15
  • 14. Page 14 Networking – The Evolution Joint Venture Tips: Don’t expect a professional marketer to want a Joint Venture partnership on the first day. If you want to work with a program owner, there are a few things you’d better do before asking them to partner with you. • Join Their Program - This is just a simple courtesy. Before you expect them to do something for you, you had better do something for them. This may sound like an obvious suggestion, but I have overlooked it myself. • Buy Their Products - This goes along with the idea that you have to give to receive, but it also goes a step further by showing the owner that you are serious about your marketing. • Be a Good Affiliate - Same concept again. This also shows them that you are business savvy. What better way to prove that you would make a good business partner, than demonstrating your ability to bring in new customers. • Offer FREE Help – A wonderful way to build a working relationship is to show the owner how much you can help them. By helping them with their own program, they will see how beneficial having you as a partner could be. The best part is that if you offer to do it for free, you will quickly build a relationship, and be seen as a real asset to any business. One Last Note – By now you should be ready to jump into the exciting world of online networking, but before you do, I have one last piece of advice. You need to realize that while you are networking, you can also be driving massive amounts of traffic to your website. If you’re interested in obtaining the most benefit from your time in forums, then you need to check out Cindy Battye’s Forum Traffic Gold. This 47 page ebook is jam-packed with tips and tricks to help you maximize your forum results. Cindy has detailed every step needed to ensure a constant supply of hungry visitors from forums, and she's giving her detailed plan, including screenshots and useful research links, along with a complete guide and some extremely useful advice. 14/15
