3. Mission Objective Using the format of a NASA-based challenge, middle school students in Oklahoma and high school students in North Carolina will collaborate to design and model a lunar habitat capable of supporting three astronauts for one year.
4. Mission Plan Middle School students will serve as project designers. High school students will serve as mission consultants/contractors.
5. Mission Plan Based on identified needs, middle school students will form mission specific teams, each of which will be assigned a high-school liaison. High school students will respond to questions posed by liaisons on behalf of the middle school students.
