1. Departmental News – The Public Accounting Report surveys professors about
accounting graduate programs and is distributed to public accounting firms. Our MSA program
ranked #12 nationally in our category.
In addition, the SIUE graduates who took the CPA exam in 2009 had the fifth highest pass rate
in the country on the Auditing section of the exam (86.7%)!

year or so, depending on birthdays.

Kristina Allen joined Stone Carlie.
Josh Andres is a Senior Accountant with Scheffel in Edwardsville.
Arif Ashfaq recently moved to Lexington, South Carolina with his wife Sameena and three
children, Zara (1), Zain, (4) and Zoya (9). Arif is a manager with Ernst & Young in
the Northeast Finance Performance Improvement Practice. Sameena is a physician.
Adam Ausmus works at the Illinois Auditor General's Office in Springfield.
Kim Banovz is a Senior Financial Analyst at Ingeroll Rand.
Ryan Bartlett accepted a job with Huber, Ring, Helm & Co.
Jeremy Bearth was promoted to Controller at Gundlach Equipment in Belleville. Grace
just turned 3, and they are expecting their second child in October.
Gina (Fingerlin) Beauchamp has two boys, Jordan (7) and Jaden (4), and works at Wells
Fargo.

2. Krystle Behrman and her husband, Chad, both work for Deloitte's Federal Practice in
Washington, D.C. They are living in Old Town Alexandria.
Stephanie Behymer passed the CPA exam and works at RubinBrown.
Max Berendson is a Senior Internal Auditor at Solutia.
Kristin (Giebe) Bettorf has three children, Jayden (3), and one-year old twins, Hadley and
Taylor. She is a Tax Consultant at Wellpoint.
Alicia Bianco works at Memorial Medical Center.
Maria & Gary Blase moved to Charlotte, N. C. when Maria was promoted to CFO of the
Climate Solutions Sector of Ingersoll Rand. Gary is "commuting" to Laird
Technologies in St. Louis. Alex graduated from Mizzou and works in South Dakota.
Margerite is at Pitzer College and just returned from a year of study in Italy.
Crystal Bock works at Scheffel & Company in Jerseyville.
Vicki Borror started her own firm, Quality Accounting Solutions, after almost 15 years at
Ernst. In addition, she teaches part time for us in the CMIS Department.
Sarah (Coulter) Bouchette joined Kilian Corporation as an Accounting Supervisor in
February and had her second child, Elise, in July. Gabriel is two.
Mary Brenner moved back to Glen Carbon from Texas with her 5 year-old granddaughter,
Andrea.
Mike Brokering is a Principal at Diel & Forguson Financial Group.
Julie (Albers) Brown accepted the position of Assistant Controller for Beelman Trucking.
She lives in New Baden with her husband and daughters, Caroline (8), Madeline (3),
and Cassandra (almost 2).
Mike Buescher is Director of Tax at Watlow, the largest custom designer and
manufacturer of industrial electric heaters, sensors and controllers.
Kathy Burstadt is Controller at HOK group, an global architectural firm.
Nathan Butler was hired as Assistant Controller at Young Dental in Earth City and works
mostly on the production and operations management side of the business.
Stacy (Poos) Campbell is a Manager at Mueller Prost (formerly MPP&W).

Kevin Coppinger is a Competitive Intelligence Product Consultant with Allstate Insurance.
Jennifer Crimm is a Manager in Assurance Services at Stone Carlie.

Bishok Dhungana joined K. K. Mehta CPAs in New York as a Tax Associate.
Casey Donahue joined Nestle Purina in Internal Audit.
Dawn Dossett is Director of Internal Audit at Midwest BankCentre.
Sarah (Petitt) Duckwitz is the Controller at Foutch Brothers in Kansas City. Emily is 3
and Alex is 6.
Bob Dumstorff is a Manager in the Real Estate Services Group at RubinBrown.
Susan Eickhoff received the 2009 National Mentoring Award from KPMG.
Stephanie Ellsworth now works with the Veterans Administration.
Sarah Earnhart began working at BKD.
Chelsea File joined the Illinois Office of the Auditor General in Springfield.
Rita Finney is Senior Vice President of Savantage Solution in Washington, D.C.
Jared Fischer is a Staff Auditor with Lopata, Flegel & Co.
Debbie Fox is Manager of Compensation and Relocations at APL in Phoenix.
Erin (Pirok) Frank had a baby boy in May of 2010.
Sarah Baldwin and Jonathan Frederick got married in October of 2010 and live in
Belleville. Jonathan works at Scheffel.
Chad Gall is a Supervisor at Anders Minkler & Diehl.
Christi (Castile) Geggus is a Supervisor at Tzinberg & Dowdy. Logan is 6, and Brooke is 3.
Jason Geminn accepted the position of Director of Tax at Prairie Farms Dairy in
Carlinville.

Jamie (Kruckeberg) Grapperhaus had a baby girl, Alaina Mae, in July of last year. She
continues to work at Scheffel.
Denise Griebel is Senior Vice President - Financial Operations at NSI Marketing Services.
Jane Groeteka is a Tax Associate at Anders Minkler & Diehl.
Calvin Guthrie is Pricing Coordinator at Spectrum Healthcare Resources and has taught
at McKendree part-time.
Sara (Lotter) Hampton had identical twin boys on March 23, 2010, Brennan and Grayden.
They joined big sister, Reese (4). Sara continues to work at Energizer.
Jean Harris works at TSI Engineering.
Chelsea Heap joined Laclede Gas working in the Financial Reporting and Analysis
Department.
Jeff Hemker started his own company providing Legal and Tax Services and teaches taxes
part-time for us.
Rebekah Herring got engaged in 2010, so I'm thinking she may be married by now. She's a
Senior Accounting Specialist at Fleishman-Hillard.
Paulette Heuer joined American Railcar Leasing in a Financial Reporting role.
Bud (Anthony) Hollenkamp moved to the Denver/Colorado Springs office of BKD with his
wife, Lori, and Dominic (5) and Kendall (2).
Chris Howard joined Community Financial Advisors as Vice President last year.
Emily Irvine is a Staff Accountant at Landscape Brands in St. Louis.
Jay Jaeger is a Financial Analyst with Express Scripts.
Camie (Jansen) Kampwerth works at The Maschhoffs and Karter is three years old.
Keith Kehrer is an Attorney with Bryan Cave and is an adjunct professor at Washington
University. He is a member of the SIUE Foundation's Advisory Board.
Andrew Kenny joined Archer Daniels Midland as Manager of Accounting Policy and
IFRS. Being a rational human being, he chose to move from Bermuda to lovely
Decatur, Illinois.

5. Queen King is Accounting Manager at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital in California.
Travis Klingler is now a Supervisor at Brown Smith Wallace.
Laura Knebel earned her Certified Internal Control Auditor designation and continues to
work as an auditor for the Army Audit Agency. Her son, Tony, is almost 4.
Jay Kohlmiller is now with Collier Turley Martin.
Bryan Kress accepted a job as an Assistant National Bank Examiner with the Office of the
Comptroller of the Currency.
Tiffany (Thornley) Kuntemeier got married and is working at Mueller Prost.
Adit Kurella is a Financial Analyst at US Bank.
Kris Lafore is with LarsonAllen.
Breanne (La Greca) Lambert got married in 2009 and completed the CPA exam in 2010.
She works at UHY Advisors.
Cari Loy is a Staff Accountant at Scheffel.
Chris Loyd moved to New York in 2007 when he worked for Societe Generale as Vice
President in their Market Risk Group. This year, he joined Ernst & Young in the
Financial Services Risk Management Group as a Manager on the Structured Finance
Advisory Services Team.
Yali Lu is the Manager of International Finance at Manheim in Atlanta.
Julie Lutz recently accepted a job in Omaha as a Senior Manager of Revenue Recognition
at Yahoo!
Lenise Majors works at Stone Carlie.
Kelly Malson created a scholarship for MSA students.

Tim Musholt passed the CPA exam on his first attempt. He works at Katz, Sapper &
Miller in Indianapolis.
Frank Nation is completing his Ph.D. in accounting at SIU Carbondale.
Scott Niehaus is Manager at BKD.
Ryan Nowakowski is an Advanced Planning Associate with Federated Funeral Directors of
America.
Adanna Nwodu moved to Chicago and is the Chief Fiscal Officer of the Illinois State Board
of Investment.
Amy Palecek is working at BKD.

Laurie (Sanders) Peacock got married and works at Scheffel.
Kim (Metcalf) Peery is a Senior Manager of Financial Accounting at Stereotaxis, a
company that specializes in high-tech cardiac instruments.

Jeremy Plank is the Chief Deputy Treasurer for Madison County.

Eric Sachtleben is a Senior Accountant with West & Company.
Steve Saidi passed the CPA exam. He is engaged to Mwayi, and they live in Edmonton,
Alberta, Canada.
