4. What does the
Church say
about
‘responsible
parenthood?’
5. Responsible parenthood calls for an
understanding of the reproductive
processes of the spouses’ bodies,
including the woman’s fertility cycle.
Married love should be placed under
the control of the intellect and the
will and express total self-giving of
persons. The decision to limit the
number of children for serious
reasons has nothing to do with the
use of contraceptives.
6. What is the
difference
between
procreation
and
reproduction?
7. Reproduction is the process by which
living things replicate for continuity
of their species. Reproduction
denotes no bond is necessary
between persons. Procreation is the
proper term for human generation as
it refers to a loving act between
spouses where there is the possibility
of new life to be formed.
9. Contraception is any action taken
before, during or after the married
act which is aimed at impeding the
process or the possible fruit of
conception.
11. Natural methods put scientific
information about the fertility
period of a woman at the service of
the decision of the couple, and do
not prevent the normal
consequences of the married act
from taking place.
43. 1. Take and receive, O
Lord, my liberty.
Take all my will, my
mind, my memory. All
things I hold, and all I
own are Thine. Thine
was the gift to Thee I
all resign.
44. 2. Do Thou direct,
and govern all and
sway, do what
Thou will command
and I obey. Only
Thy grace, Thy love
on me bestow
45. 2. These make me
rich, all else will I
forego.
47. Priest: Pray, brethren..
All:May the Lord accept
the sacrifice at your
hands for the praise and
glory of His name, for our
good, and the good of all
His church.
