You Have The
Power
We have the ability to change our thoughts to make a beautiful thing ugly or a not-so-beautiful thing
seem wondrous.
While there are events in our lives that are miraculous and there are others that are tragic.....that's not
where we generally live on a day to day basis. For the most part, we live somewhere in the middle of
those opposites.
However, sometimes it SEEMS that we're having a horrible day due to some circumstance that's
occurring around us at the time. But, that's just our perception. And perception isn't necessarily reality.
If you're honest with yourself, you realize that things can ALWAYS get worse. Thankfully, they usually
don't.
How Can You Change Your Thoughts?
What makes the difference in any situation is what's going on between your ears. How we view any given
situation is entirely up to us.
What really matters is.....what are you going to focus on? Finding something negative, or finding
something positive.
If this is new information to you....it may seem difficult, at first, to find anything positive to focus on. But,
the more that you become aware, and the more that you practice looking for the beauty, the more that
you'll find.
Even though I have negative days, there's always that voice in the back of my mind prodding me to look
for the wonderful in any situation. Now....to be completely honest.....sometimes I tell it to "Shut up and
let me waller in my misery for a minute!" :-/
But, I always know that if I stay feeling negative.....it is completely by choice.
While I've always been more of an optimist, I give a tremendous amount of credit to the team that I am a
part of and that I have gone into business with. It has been an absolute blessing to my life to work with so
many positive individuals that lift me up and have helped me to grow as a person.
