3. “ Universal moral right, something
which all men, everywhere, at all times
ought to have, something of which no
one may be deprived without a grave
affront to justice, something which is
owing to every human simply because
he is human. ”

4. • Universal – everyone should enjoy human rights
without discrimination as to sex, age, language,
religion, or race.
• Inviolable – human rights are an essential
element of one’s humanity. It cannot be violated
unless determined by law and solely for the
purpose of securing due recognition and respect
for the rights of others .
• Interdependent- certain rights cannot be
sacrificed in favor of other rights because
taken together, these rights make human beings
whole.

individuals such as specified vulnerable
the rights to life, group which may be
education, health, exercised because of
work.. rights to
suffrage: freedom one’s membership to such
of expression, community such as
freedom from women’s rights,
torture, right to children’s rights,

rights.

A Vision for the 21st Century:
• On 10 December 1948, the General
Assembly of the United Nations adopted
and proclaimed the Universal Declaration
of Human Rights.
• Human rights and human development
share a common purpose and
motivation: to secure freedom, well-
being and dignity for every human being.
• States bear a primary duty to safeguard
and promote human rights.

8. • These are made available to all human beings.
• All men should receive these rights equally.
• There should be no difference with regard to color,
caste, religion and culture.
• No affected by any post or status.
• No distinction in human rights on the basis of political,
universal or international status of a country.
• Deprivation of human rights should be heard under law.

10. Morocco has made significant progress in
human rights over the past fifteen years,
both by increasing freedom of expression
and establishing a commission to
investigate past abuses. But continued
human rights abuses raise questions about
Morocco’s ability to sustain its progress
toward democratization.
